Hit 94 basically after a handful of quests in Gorgand or whatever it's called. Went back to the Garrison and now I have quests to go all over the place. I guess I'm going to start figuring out what to skip and what not to. Then I have to figure out where are all the quests are to get followers.

Meh.

Ridge -> Gorgrand -> Taldor -> Spires -> Nagrand. For the most part do all the quests in all the zones.

First time out I finished all the zones. On my priest I rushed through it and went to the next zone as soon as I could. Then after I hit 100 and had the barracks upgraded, I went back with my bodyguard and finished all the quests in every zone. Made a bunch of money and got a bunch of bodyguard rep.

The cleanest way is to do all of the main quests, skip the bonus quests, sub war mill for barracks asap, and pick up treasure/rares as you pass them (handynotes - draenor.) That way you get all of your progression and garrison shit properly and wind up at 100 when you walk into Nagrand, without as much back tracking to do for bullshit.

Oh, and buy a 620 crafted weapon at 91 for peanuts and ignore dungeons.

When you reach 100, immediately do the intro proving grounds shit and get your legendary quest line from your garrison and go as far as you can, then finish Nagrand.

And then be stuck in ilevel pug hell like my alt Rogue. I just do H-Kargath and bail.

Hm I'm not sure if I recommend skipping the bonus quests. The quicker you get to 100 the quicker you can substitute quest XP for gold. But I'm poor enough for that to matter most are not.

I don't understand how you could be poor in this game -- doesnt' the Garrison produce 500g a day simply in follower missions? You don't NEED the top-tier enchants unless you're in a racing guild... the dps difference between an 8k weapon enchant and 500g is pretty miniscule unless some class benefit far more than others.

I'm curious where your gold is going; you aren't the first person to describe themselves as "always poor." My wife, who literally participates zero in the economy, amasses like 1k a day justdoing things.

If you want to level quickly, build the base building up where ever you go, then move on once you get the breadcrumb. If you want story and have a bunch of rested XP, clear the zone story out.

Make sure you have a warmill before you start doing Nagrand. As well, try to make sure you're not in an area if the quests aren't showing up (don't head over to a new area TOO early).

I probably have about 35k between my rogue and war. The first batch of money my war made went into my rogue for his belt and trinket. Now that I'm back to 30k I can invest that into my monk. I get money then I spend money.

On my 4th to 100, and I usually hunt down the followers, snatching them up as quickly as possible. I skip quite a bit of quests sometimes but the experience still flows.

I cheat and get my bodyguard follower at 94/95. You have to get the barracks to rank 2 with a book reward for the garrison completion quest in Talador. (Take the book to Ashran and trade the book for the Barracks 2 plans.

Then I just cherrypick follower quests and kill quests with the completely overpowered Defender Illonia. That tanky wench rocks my socks.

I built a warmill a while ago. Just doing quests now as I see them. I'll have to look for a crafted wep. Whatvar bodyguards.

Maybe I'm just playing direly OP classes but I never felt a bodyguard would add much since mobs pretty much just die when you look at them at least with monk and rogue

620 honor pvp weapon takes you quite a ways and is relatively easy to farm in comparison to crafted wep until you can get the 630 from heroics or 645 from garrison invasion loot bag.

Bodyguards are pets. Followers that can adventure with you in the zones. (Non command pets basically) There are 5=6 of em. Horde side has a tanky warlock chick who I think dies a lot. and shares others with ally side. Ally side has a dranai Paladin. Who can die if you are dumb, but holds aggro like a champ and lets you pull 3-4 things nearby without worry.

I use them as additional dps. And pull lots. They can solo most any normal mob of level and if you tag it you get credit and loot. So pull more.

I've never used any of the bodyguards. The 5 follower increase is pretty damn hard to pass up though.

Yeah at 100 until you have loaded on follower tokens the large is pretty much required to be rax and mill.
