Yeah I liked 1923 a lot but the first season was basically just setting up the story. S2 will make or break it.

It’s fine. But I had so many people tell me it was the best show ever, just wait and see, you’ll see, mind blowing television.

2.5 seasons in I was like fuck this garbage. Everyone is completely insufferable and the stories are unbelievable. Serial killer bait? Beth hates Jamie because she had to be sterilized and now she’s super duper madsad at him and all men cept Ole Ripper who just gets her. The sanctimonious native shit to the outrageously racist frat boy

“I wanted to also be a liar so I knew what it felt like to lie.” -Fake Pocahontas

It was all just so eye roll and that’s just from the top of my head.
If you fast forward through the fake indian scenes, the show is a lot better. Its the same in a lot of Sheridan's shows. Skip the obvious native oppression plot in 1923 and you miss nothing and the show is better.

thought the same thing. They really should have made Costner's character departure due to sexual reassignment surgery or something to just say FUCK you to him for ruining the show. I mean he sure fucked them didn't he?

I never paid attention to this show. Not surprised at all KC fucked it up.

One off them spends an entire season showing some dude traveling back home only to be caught up in tomb raider cut scenes the entire way.

I don't blame Costner for leaving. I enjoy the cowboy parts of the show and while KC contributed to those storylines as a good owner/patriarch they're fine without him. The "family fighting for the ranch" plot lines were kind of played out. Only so many times you can have BlackRock_Land_Developer_437 try to take the land with a Dutton rising in the State ranks to counter. Where do they go after taking the Governorship and AG to protect the ranch?

KC leaving and forcing Sheridan's hand into killing John is as good a closure as one can expect.

The S5E6 roundup/branding scenes were excellent modern cowboy storytelling. The Billy Klapper and Buster Welch cameo scenes too.

Sum it up for those that didnt watch the last half of the final season.

Beth did a thing or two that fulfil a Karen power fantasy
Rip puts up with Beth for some absurd reason and continues to be "Dad Man"
Tyler Sheridan writes himself more into the series and constantly proves hes a bad actor
Kayce continues to be "bad boy" for mid 40's housewives to fantasize over
They make Jamie an even bigger POS then he was before so now he is the biggest POS to ever exist. Then he dies cause its better to kick em while they are down.

I haven't watched this shit since s2 but I bet im not far off

My summary

Everyone in the world knows who killed the dad. Beth vows vengence. They hatch a plan to save the ranch(sorta). She tries to kill her brother, it doesn't go well. Basically she gets beat to hell, like usual, Rip saves her. The solution for the ranch is just to give it back to the Indians at 1.25 an acre. To sum up, kill the brother, pretend he isn't dead, and gibs for the Indians. Everyone else is just in the plot for comic relief.

Lol, this trash. The last seasons of Walking Dead, Dexter and Lost were all better than even the beginning of this contrived garbage show. I’m so happy to hear how much dumber it got because it was ALWAYS dumb as fuck.

Rip and Kayce were both 2 different characters depending on whether their spouse was around. Unbelievable badasses in certain scenes and then quivering pussies in others. Both Beth and the Asian/indian wife were some of the most annoying cunts in existence too, defying belief that those type of guys would put up with them.

The ending was really the least unbelievable thing about the whole series. Still a fun watch but you need to treat it like a comic book movie.

Ah, I see you haven't watched Sheridan's new show, Landman.
