They make pull on boots too.Just realized I have a different pair of slip ons for yard work, going to the gym, and for daily wear.
If I didn't have to wear boots as part of my uniform I would never tie my shoes again.
They do but A: does not meet uniform regulations (and i'm not a shitbag) and B: you still have to bend over to pull them up, they are not like slip ons you just step into. They make pull on boots too.
Bro. Do you even boot hook? Also known as finger stretchers. I started using them because I had a pair of boots with loops too narrow for my fingers. Now I use them on all boots. They do but A: does not meet uniform regulations (and i'm not a shitbag) and B: you still have to bend over to pull them up, they are not like slip ons you just step into.
Eh hat's not necessarily an old thing that's an in shape for that task thing. Shoveling and moving rock will beat the shit out of anyone who isn't doing that sort of work regularly. Happens every year when we do spring cleanup with all the raking and mulch and the rest. Dying right away then by the end two weekends later it's easy again.Have what you consider a small and completely doable project. Lay paver stones over around a 60 sq ft area to make a space to park your pellet smoker. All you have to do is clear down around 4" of soil to tamp/compact/lay a base, then put the paver stones on top. Easy peasy... Knock this out in a day, maybe two if I'm lazy...
Fast forward almost a week, I can do around 3 hours of shoveling and compacting... slowly... before my shoulders force me to walk away for the day. Haven't even put in the gravel base material yet, let alone the stones. New time estimation 1-1.5 weeks.
I had mine done by a professional crew of 4. It took them almost 3 days, and they were all young. All this stuff looks easy, but none of it is. Hell, they had a compacting machine and the guy using it was clearly sick of using it by the end of the day.Have what you consider a small and completely doable project. Talking to one of my daughter's 18 year friends. Talking about movies and I mention Animal House (which I convinced my daughter to watch with me just a few months ago).
friend - "What's Animal House?"
me - "You know, with John Belushi"
friend - "Who's that?"
Oh, never fucking mind.
Good classic movies/actors are totally lost on younger generations.
Neat it's the same number of years between now and 1985 as was between 1985 and the end of WW2.Trying to get my kids to watch 80's/90's films makes me understand what my dad felt when I shrugged off his attempts to make me sit through stuff from the 60's. And more horribly, 1990 is farther away than 1960 was at the time.
Yeah, I have a Ryobi tilling attachment which has made it easier, but even using that is like wrestling a beast that happens to also be breaking up soil for you...I had mine done by a professional crew of 4. That one of mine you see was functionally free. I bought the Ryobi 40v trimmer, and it's one where you can swap out the tool heads. Then around 6 months ago I was driving down the street on bulky trash put out week and someone had thrown out a bunch of the tool attachments for it. So being a cheap old bastard, I promptly pulled over and grabbed them. Not only got a working tiller out of it, but the "chainsaw on a stick" limb trimmer too. hehLast time I went to rent a tiller like that the guy recommended getting the heavier self-powered one. Had to rent a trailer to go with it but I didn't regret it for one second. Cut up old grass sods like nothing and while it's still a workout if you're used to desk work it didn't leave me a broken mess. Did my entire lawn in 90 minutes instead of most of the day.

Sunday was a beautiful day here in NV. Wife and I put in 8 new solar lights in the back yard and threw away the old ones. I know I have a bad back (7 surgeries tell me so) so I wore my back brace and let my wife do most of the bending. I have a piece of rigid metal conduit cut at a 45 degree angle to drive in the ground for the stakes. She did the install. Sunday night back LOCKS completely. I crawl to the back office closet and get my walker. Finally able to move on my own this morning.
That'll learn me!
I didn't realize this until I looked at the cast list, and I was like wtf? He's unrecognizable, but it's him.So many years and pounds ago, Anthony Michael Hall is in this seasons Reacher
