For awards.

comeback player, Manning over AP- manning had the much worse injury of the two.

offensive player- AP

Rookie of the Year- this one is a tough one..RG3, Luck and Wilson could win, i think they might do a tie with Luck and RG3, i give the edge to RG3 over luck though, his numbers are better.

AFC playoffs
ravens and texans look to be Very beatable this year, so we might have the 3rd and 4th seed out for round 2.

Texans, their Offense is their problem and has been for the past 4 weeks, they have to figure it out or they are finished for the year.
Ravens, it is mostly their Defense, it has been Very porous this year, they need to come up and be the RAVENS D for the playoffs or they have no chance vs either the Pats or Bronco's

Bronco's and Patriots look - to me- to be the final 2 for the AFC superbowl Rep, IF the patriots D gets healthy (especially the corners Talib & Dennard as well as ninkovich-though that rookie that took his place yesterday looked Good), i give them the edge over the bronco's but hey, i'm a patriots Fan.

i don't see any of the 4 teams playing next week beating either of them(broncos or Patriots- barring injury to manning/brady), but you never know.

getting the Bye for the Pat's is huge- lets Gronk get healthier, lets various bumps and scrapes get better, Gronk was only blocking with his Right arm yesterday and holding his left arm down, protecting it. he did look good on the routes and catching the ball though.

nfc this one is tough. i don't think atlanta will make it, i am going with Packers and Seahawks winning next week, then packers vs niners and seahawks vs atlanta

seahawks vs niners for the championship.

niners vs patriots superbowl.

Patriots win.

-Redskins were a average team without RG3, add Morris and him and them getting to 10 is about where they should've been, above average. They had a bad record but 5 of their losses were 1 possession games, they were close to competing in that division with Sexy Rexy and McNasty. Add Garcon, RG3, Morris, have Williams develop into a stud LT, etc you should go places
-Colts were a 2 win team, old everywhere, have no RB, played most of the season without their 1st year coach, changed defenses (making their two best defensive players stand up LBs) and just rattled off 11 wins. I still look at that team and wonder how they won 11 games. Props to them for trading for Davis too, that looked a bit premature at the time. They didn't win games the way the Redskins did last night, with the illusion of other threats, Luck had to throw the ball over 600 times for them to be where they are. Neither other rookie QB topped 100 because despite being great players, they were just part of the threat of these teams, while Luck was the only
-The Seahawks are the hottest team in football. Wilson tied Manning's TD in a rookie season record while maintaining a 100QBR (which I don't really care about tbh)

Anyone who wants to give it to RG3 better automatically like Peyton over Brady and never use playoff records to determine who is better

To me it's Luck and it's not even a question. I'd vote it 1) Luck 2) Wilson 3/4 RG3/Morris (who has the most rushing yards ever in a season for a redskins RB nevermind and was the second leading rusher in the NFL!). I think you could make an argument for Luck to finish in the top 5 of MVP voting as well. I know RG3 is somewhat of a darling around here and all of these rookies have been impressive as hell, but to make T.Y. Hilton a legitimate threat, to win 11 games, to rejuvenate Reggie Wayne, etc. Reminds me so much of Brady / Peyton, etc and how they make real threats out of whatever WR on their roster.

I'd love to see how the draft is handled if it happened tomorrow. I think the Redskins probably have 3 players in the first twenty picks. They did a great job with what they had after giving up so much

Morris isn't even THAT special. For the millionth time, Shanahan builds rushing offenses. All those years of elite run game in Denver were built on his system and O-line, not the individual rusher. RG3 is a special talent for sure but they could run the ball in his system with any number of backs.

I gotta hand it to Cinci for picking up Burfict though. They took the chance and it looks like it will pay off nicely. That's early round talent for free.

I'm off work and hungover as shit and ready to start drinking again and endured a bazillion skins fans at the bars last night and I'm going to use run on sentences and post farm this thread. Don't like it? I do apologize and offer my sincerest condolences for your misfortune in clicking this morning.

Where is Homosar? NEVER FORGET, VENGEANCE IS OURS hopefully.

2012 sucked for:

1. the Steelers. Ben starts off red hot, goes down. Batch comes in, sucks, but pulls off an upset in BAL. They miss the playoffs, and we maybe found out that Mike Tomlin's success so far may have been heavily tempered by the talent on his team. (#1 D and above average/good O)

2. the Dolphins. This team had an opportunity to get themselves into the playoffs as a Wild Card even up to about a month ago. Tannehill and Reggie Bush are not scoring enough points, and likely will not score enough in the upcoming season.

3. the Cardinals. Even the Cardinals didn't expect to play as well as they did in the first half. Unfortunately for them though their inability to score in the twenties kept them out of the playoff race.

4. Andy Reid. What can you say? This guy has been the eagles head coach for 14 years. It's really too bad he had to spend time dealing with the run 'n gun offense that Michael Vick brought to Philadelphia.

5. the Bears. Did anyone expect the Bears to miss the playoffs? Lovie Smith is held on too high a pedestal given the team's failings. He's got to go.

6. (save the worst for last) the Jets. Period.

It's gonna be Luck but it will be because Wilson and Griffin have identical stats after the season and it will be hard justifying giving it to one over the other. To make the decision easier, they will give it to Luck and chalk up the tie breaker to a 9 game improvement for the Colts.

And replace him with whom?

Half the teams in the league would gladly jettison their coach right now to get Lovie.

Dont forget that NFC North is the only division in NFL that had 3 teams with double digit wins, its not exactly AFC East where the mighty Jets, Bills and Dolphins battle it out for supremacy.

hey one thing I will say about the AFC East is that Brady/Kraft/BB are responsible for the disparity that we see nowadays.

Not to mention how great some of the 2000-2010 AFC teams were as a whole. Manning/Colts, the Steelers runs, Patriots etc.

I think we might see a resurgence of some of these awful AFC teams next year, just like we saw some NFC teams climb back up.

All those 3 teams would suck ass even if the 4th team in AFC East was the Chiefs. Got nothing to do with Pats.

Andy Reid? Norv Turner? Cam Cameron? Kyle Shanahan? Josh McDaniels? All fine white choices that Cathan's racist ass would approve of.
Cathan is a racist?

Thats a new wrinkle.

Paul Kruger gave them that win with a shitty penalty and he admits it. Still, shouldn't have been so close but that's how shit goes in the AFCN most of the time. Pittsburgh got the steal of the draft in DeCastro, but he's been hurt all year. Ben is on the back end of his career and I find that greatly satisfying. If he can stay healthy he's still dangerous as shit but I'm starting to wonder how capable he is of playing full seasons now. I'd love to shit on Tomlin and call him overrated but I'm actually jealous because he seems like a great HC. Their OC is a reject though and I think some Steelers fans may be wondering if ditching Arians was the right move after all.

He's not *that* special but you don't just roll out of bed and become the 2nd leading rusher in the NFL. It's also like people not thinking Arian and Tate are a big difference though I think because of the system, where I think the talent isn't even close. I haven't seen enough Morris to know how good he is, but he'd be a 1000 yard rusher anywhere in the league I think
