I don't know, being charged with murder at his age usually results in you NOT leaving jail.

He will leave jail either convicted and going to prison, or leaving jail a freeman and acquitted. That much is certain.

Silly question time. If there is no murder weapon, can he be brought up on 1st degree murder? You can order someone to shoot someone and be charged with the killing? Don't you just say, I didn't tell them shit?
I think since the casing in the car matches the casings at the scene the murder weapon won't be near as important.

Yeah he should just deny killing the guy. That's some sweet legal advice

Jesus Christ, how fucking stupid do you have to be to throw away so much wealth and fame?

It's not even like he lost his cool and did something in the heat of the moment. It sounds/looks like he planned all this shit. Which actually makes it even more mind boggling, because you'd assume that something preplanned would have avoided such stupid blunders like getting caught on all kinds of surveillance and blatantly destroying evidence.
Kinda my thoughts too. And if I'm killing someone, I'm not leaving their body down the road from my house, in a car I rented

Hernandez needs to get Jay Cutler as his lawyer. He'll get off scott free. Or maybe Tony Romo.

I wonder what proportion of nfl players has been tried for murder vs. General population

Everything that's come out so far points to this being pre-meditated, which would make it first degree murder.
all of the circumstantial evidence points to it being pre-meditated which still does not mean he was arrested on first-degree murder charges.

to be honest I only posted about that article to point out how arm-chair lawyery the media has to be to make waves.

Quote from NFL.com

? McCauley alleges Hernandez shot Lloyd three times right after Lloyd got out of the car. And then Hernandez is alleged to have stood over Lloyd and put two more bullets in his chest.
Granted, that's just the DA's version of events at this point...but fuck, man. That's a flat out execution. Maybe the worst thing to come out of sports/athletes since OJ?

Went from starting NFL TE on a perennial Super Bowl contender to unemployed guy in jail with the potential for life in prison.

Stupid fucking football players should distance themselves from these asshats. I know it's probably hard, but fuck. I've heard about so many players (guys playing in Florida seemed to have a lot of problems in the last decade) who ended up broke or dead because of the company they kept (although Sean Taylor and Chris Henry are my only examples, and both weren't directly caused by their "homies," but it certainly contributed).

With Sean Taylor wasn't it just people coming to rob his house while they thought he was gone?

Yeah, but there was something about them only knowing it was his house, and that he should've been gone, because his friends (or people he hung around) tipped them off.
