Well we can hope that Cam Cameron was really holding this offense back, because if he doesn't show more consistency we will never hear the end of it from the media and other fans, which honestly will be as annoying for everyone else as it is for Baltimore fans.

But, yes, WTF were we going to do? There's nothing in this years draft even at the first pick. There was nothing at QB in FA either, other than Smith really. After riding the QB carousel for so long just having stability, even if it is middle of the road with flashes of gaudier stats, is an upgrade at QB from what the team's had for most of its existence.

Bubble is about right. The QB position is just going to continue to bloat contract numbers. You can't develop a guy of any reliability and then not pay him big. The position is too important. You can't let them go to FA and its less cap friendly to tag them than to give them an overblown looking contract. Like Edko said, its not going to cripple the team any more than signing Rice or Suggs or Ngata has. If we retain Ellerbee and extend Boldin to let him finish out here and smooth out his cap number, I'd say we had a successful offseason in terms of our FA's. Anything else, (Reed/Kruger) would be icing on the cake.

You can say he's not elite all day long and you would have a point, but calling him Dilfer 2.0 is straight retarded. You realize Dilfer was CUT the year after winning the SB right? In all honesty he probably would have been a more stable QB for a couple more years too. And Flacco is better than Dilfer by any way you want to look at it.

He's 28, been to the playoffs 5 straight years, a super bowl ring and a superbowl mvp. I really don't care what people think about him at this point since I am a fan that is now spoiled by success. He's a pretty big part of it, whether people's perceptions allow them to see it or not.

What do you think happens at left tackle this season Edko?
I'd like to see someone offer Fat Mac more than we would. Most teams are strapped as it is and teams that have room (Browns, Bengals, Dolphins) are set at LT.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Ravens let him hang out to dry until after the draft in the event something falls into Ozzie's lap in the 2nd or 3rd round. The Ravens have 11 picks this year, never know.

There's some lineman who keeps getting referenced on the Ravens boards as a potential LT pick in the third or fourth. Keep forgetting the name, and not sure why he's going that late, but we aren't getting a high pick at that position so any gem he can find would be welcome. After KO I have faith that we will probably find a good tackle and center to bring in and compete.

He was the biggest part of it this year. His "been to the playoffs and won a game every year" is mostly because of the team (read: defense), but there's no arguing he was the main catalyst this year for their success. Still obviously we're waiting for the details to come out, but you'd think a guy who seems to be all about the Ravens wouldn't structure it to semi cripple the team in coming years just so he can be the "highest paid NFL player" ever.

It will be majorly back loaded obviously. It's getting blown out of proportion really.

Yeah not sure what people are crazy about. Any Top 10 QB that was an FA this year was going to potentially be the new highest paid QB/player ever, even without a SB - you must have a QB and that aren't enough good ones to go around. That's the going rate.

Matt Ryan will get more than Flacco, and Rogers' deal will be more than that.

I wouldn't say Miami is locked in at LT. Unless Long takes a pay cut, which he says he wont he's gone. They can slide Martin from RT over there, but he's got some work to do to handle that spot. That said, we have nearly 50 mil in cap room, and 7 picks the first two days of the draft.

I think Miami will spend the cap money on skill positions, and fix the o-line in the draft. Hoping to see Wallace sign with us, and draft Swope. Need TE'S badly too,and cb's after Smith walks.

If we can manage the draft well enough, and make a few key FA signings, Miami could make some big strides at being a respectable team again.

I figured Long's injury concerns would drop his stock on the open market. I guess some team is going to be willing to take that chance for a crack at a still relatively young proven LT.

I'd love to see Miami get hot and fuck the Patriots up. Of course its AFC so they can go get fucked generally speaking, but I think most of us are sick of fucking New England by now. Jets, Bills, 'phins....can someone step up and be competitive in that division please?

Outside NE of course the rest of the east teams have just been train wrecks. Bad decision, after bad decision. The Jets appeared headed in the right direction, but Rex won because of Mangini's players, and a whole lot of luck getting as far as they did in those playoff appearances.

I just wish Tannehill had some weapons last year, it's really hard to tell what we have here based on last season. Have to say though, this is a pretty exciting off season for us. I think we will close the gap on NE, who we usually play tough anyway, just not that last game of the season.

As for Long. Hes not the same player, and it's a damn shame. Didn't last very long, but someone will throw 10 mil at him, just not Miami.

Sad but true long is such a great player when he can stay healthy and that shit just seems to not happen anymore, however that's far from the big concern with Miami. If Tannehill has no one to throw the ball too he's going to get sacked no matter who's on the line, if there's no RB to take the pressure off him he's going to get blitzed like crazy and crumble. The offense right now is just a non-issue for opposing defenses. As of right now I'm still on the fence about Tannehill he was comparable to Chad Henne, the only thing that leaves me hopeful for that is that it was his first year and he was throwing to no-name turds.

Buffalo I can't possibly see doing anything successful this next season, they took on practically the entire Syracuse football staff which probably means you'll be seeing Nassib throwing for them next season. They did well in college, but that was college.

And the Jets are just a fucking train wreck of an organization. Should be removed from the NFL and a team given to Toronto.

But Hartline might be the fastest white boy in the NFL! That Marshall trade last season was fucking retarded.
