Dude WTF. Sanchez, White, Tebow, Clausen, Weeden, Osweiller, Ponder, Gabbert, Locker. All unquestionably worse than Smith. STFU man.
Pretty much all of these could take 49ers to the Super Bowl, something that Smith couldnt.

A lot of people are donating to the Rustled Jimmies Fund.

Anyway, fucking LOL at Chiefs. I thought we might get a 3rd round. Maybe a 4th round pick and then a conditional next year. But a SECOND this year, and a cond. mid rounder next year? LMAO.

And people thought that Harbaugh and Baalke were going to release him because he was "a good soldier" after being benched. LOL. The dude sucked fat dick for 5 years and set the franchise back with his laughably bad play. So trading him and getting the 2nd pick in the 2nd round of the draft plus another mid round pick next year, is WAY more than any Niner fan, or even exec could have hoped for.

But hey, Andy Ried is not that much of a tard when it comes to football. That team will be WAY better this year. All they need is a playmaking TE (Moeaki is not the answer) and another WO and they will have a pretty good offense. They have Charles, and he is a great receiving option out the backfield, and they still have Bowe. Ried loves to fucking throw too, and Smith led the league in completion % before he got benched (70%, which is almost 18 points higher than all of the KC QB's the last 3-4 years). So they need to keep Flowers healthy and help Hali on defense because Smith doesnt come back when his team his down They need to get and keep leads and they might be able to compete in that division.

Chiefs need an offensive line. They have plenty of skill position players. Their problem is the line allows the QB to get the shit absolutely kicked out of them.

I don't know anything about their o-line, but PFF ranked them #12 overall so it doesn't sound like they'rethatbad.

I do think trading a 2nd AND a conditional is stupidly idiotic, but we don't know what the bidding war situation was. From the outside looking in, it looks like the Chiefs got hosed, but we won't know until next year when Alex Smith leads the Chiefs to the Super Bowl only to lose to Eli Manning!

Also, this caption ^^ - what the fuck does this even mean Jim Rogash? Will his restructured deal give the patriots cap room to upgrade? Uh, yes. "but will that only delay the inevitable?"

The "inevitable" is what? - In Jim Rogash's opinion, it's probably, for the duration of Tom Brady's new contract, that the Patriots will perform well but not win the Superbowl. Now back to his quote:

So basically with a top 3 current QB, and top 3 QB of all time the Patriots will most definitely not win a Superbowl after, in his words, "upgrading" the team. Right, got it.

The inevitable is a massive cap hit from Brady's contract. The way its been done, the cap hit from that extra $27m he's added to his already $30m guaranteed will come at the end of the contract. Brady is 35 right? So the inevitable comes when he is pushing 40. What happens when/if he wins a ring two years into the contract and decides to retire on top of the game and destined for the HoF with GOAT discussion? Well then the rest of that guaranteed money on the contract will result in dead cap space for a departed QB. Now that might be worth it to you and the team for a chance at another ring before the current regime has to rebuild, but it is most certainly delaying the inevitable.

He's 37 I think, this contract brings him to 40 and, theoretcly, retirement.

Hopefully we get Ravens vs Patriots for the season opener and Bernard Pollard ends his career.

Highly likely opener at least. I'm sorta partial to Steelers. I think only other likely option is Houston. It will probably be NE though.

An excellent point, I regret that I may have accidentally downplayed the importance of something terrible happening to Tom Brady and by extension the entire Patriots organization and their 100% shithead fanbase.. This was truly a critical oversight on my part.
