Wilson's scrambling plus Harvin's playmaking sounds like an awesome combination to watch. And Seattle was already pretty entertaining to watch.

Yeah, had the Redskins had the means/cap room, I think Harvin would've been a great fit. Since Seattle runs a very similar, fast offense, you'd have to think he'll be an awesome weapon.

A late first isn't a guaranteed impact player, whereas Harvin
Will be interesting if Tavon Austin is on the board at 25 and Minn takes him with this pick. Might show who got the better end of this deal in the long run.

Newest rumor is that Seattle is in talks to get Brett Farve out of retirement to complete their acquisition of the 2009 Minnesota passing attack.

Its sad that you could tell me Skip Bayliss floated this idea today on First Take or Peter King in MMQB and I would believe you.

I think people need to step back for a second and realize that Seattle was a fortunate team last year. I'm not saying they are frauds, they were very good, and just a notch below the 49ers. But they were given a free victory by an old high school ref named Lance, and earned a playoff victory based off the fact that RGKnee happened. They also had exceptional play from their secondary (eye popping numbers for those 4 core DB's) and I think that will be a hard feat to recreate.

But given the deal for Harvin, they will definitely be a much more dangerous team if he stays healthy. Looking at what you have in Russel Wilson, and then combining that with Harvin and his ability to run the ball, that could be explosive as fuck. And they will have a better option than Golden Tate going downfield. So maybe Harvin will balance the scales. Or maybe Patrick Willis gives him a concussion and destroys his career like Jahvid Best.

And maybe you will manage to win a game against the Rams this year. Hahaha, who are we kidding. Crown the 'hawks, Seattle wins the west this year.

Yeah, but the Seattle offense that played the first 4 games is not the same one that finished the year last season. Seattle had the unfortunate circumstance that had them play @ their NFC West rivals twice in the first 4 weeks and three times in the first 8 weeks of the season with a rookie QB who was obviously being limited by coaching. Once the training wheels came off Wilson that team changed and you can easily see them winning @ARI and @STL this time around.

The Hawks will also have the benefit of the easier schedule than the Niners next season. I hate to say it, because I am a Niners fan, but I think Seattle has the inside track to the NFC-West crown this coming season and not just because of the Harvin deal.

Gonna be tough. Rumor has it they've already been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

They still need to prove they can consistently win on the road. Even late in the season they struggled without their ridiculous home field advantage. Regardless, they'll be a very good team.

Harvin as a WR is overrated. If you want to give up a 1st round pick for a WR, they should have went after Cruz, a WR that has broke 1k yards twice in both years as a starter and 9/10 TD in both of his years.

Harvin never struck me as particularly good. I think Seattle will regret giving up a first rounder for him

I forgot the Browns are under new ownership. Apparently they are prepared to actually spend large amounts of their cap room this year. I don't like that!

Come on dudes. Percy was on pace for a 100+ REC, 1200 yard, 9 touchdown season. The injury concerns from this year were all big bunch of lies surrounding him getting kicked off the team and he has gone two seasons without migraine issues. He's also skilled on special teams.

He's a first round talent. No one is going to come straight out of this draft and give you that type of production. Now he wants a monster contract that he may not be completely worth and he has attitude concerns, but the production is there.

From my end I'm happy with the deal simply because Percy definitely wanted out of MN. Best to get something in return while we still could.

You're going to have to come with more than that to convince me that Percy's statistical output from the past two seasons (or shit even his career) doesn't give him consideration as one of the top slot receivers in the league.

I was actually being dead serious. I guess your sarcasm detector is as oversensitive as mine. Especially the part about injuries and migraines, that makes him sound worse to me!

Harvin never had a 1000 yard season or more than 6 TDs per season. He's had injury problems, confirmed pot smoker (those guys always play below their potential), is a confirmed locker room cancer and seems to be a bit of a head case. If he was going to have a all star season, he's had 4 years to show one. He isn't going to magically transform in fifth season and turn into an amazing receiver. I would have rather taken my chances with that first round pick and drafted a receiver if they really wanted one that badly.
