I do think RG3 learned to run out of bounds and slide more after the concussion early in the year against Atlanta...the hit at Baltimore was partially the fact we were in the midst of a 7 game streak where we had to (or at least felt like we had to) win every single game to have any playoff shot. Down 28-20 with under 3 minutes to go in the 4th, hard to completely fault the guy for looking to extend a play, especially since it was something like a 2nd and 19 if I recall right.

Obviously more runs means they're going to take more hits, but the flip side is he IS a good pocket passer who can be extremely accurate, so they need to find a proper balance and have him develop his pure passing game even more. It's also likely true that the mobile QB's are able to avoid some bad hits that those less mobile pocket passers take (Brady and Manning) by their ability to escape pressure and the pocket.

The difference is when the qb is running the ball he for the most part gets to dictate whether or not he gets hit because there's the option to slide or run out of bounds. With a qb hit or a sack he's at the mercy of the defender and could be brought down in a totally fucked up way. Taking a sack or hit in the pocket to me seems like a significantly higher chance of getting hurt than getting tackled or hit in the field.

Not saying they won't get hurt running, just don't see this huge extra risk people are talking about unless you're talking about a stupid scrambler like Vick.

Yeah, that's probably it....I bet he's on the phone with Dennis Dixon begging right now.

Less retarded theory: He's hoping it's a fad cuz that shit is a bitch to coach against.

It was just a joke, settle down. You have to admit that it would be pretty funny to see Roethlisberger try to become a running QB.

Power rankings are such a bullshit concept inspired by nothing more than to cause arguments and have never reflected reality.

I don't even know where the Cowboys are ranked to be quite honest with you and tried briefly to find the power ranking and failed but I would imagine they are some where around 14-17 which would be typical for a team coming off an 8-8 season, near the middle of the fucking pack.

Found it, 18 by espn and 16 by nfl.com right around the middle where I expected. So I ask you why would I be butt hurt about their ranking when they are what I thought they are. Troll better broseph, your better than this.
