They should randomize player's positions. You're not getting players to risk their careers for a meaningless game. But watching Tom Brady trying to chase receivers as a defensive back or Tony Siragusa playing qb? No way in hell I'm missing that

Won't ever happen. First off the Superbowl is mainly a huge corporate event for the NFL and needs to cater to that crowd, which means world-class destinations (look how much flack the NFL got over the Detroit Superbowl...)

Second it would be logistically impossible for the cities. Cities spend years putting together plans, infrastructure, etc just toBIDfor having the Superbowl. Now you are asking cities to get everything needed in place to host a Superbowl in as little as a month? The Superbowl is just too huge of an event and requires years of prep-work for these cities to pull them off.

I agree and until you can do something like what baseball did the game will be a meaningless pile of shit that no one wants to play in. That or start giving out cash bonuses for performance, 1k per catch, 2k per pass defended, 10k for an int etc etc etc and watch as that game that can never be competitive because of injuries suddenly becomes super competitive.

I like hard knocks regardless of who they are covering, most people just don't want it to be their team because there is a stigma that whoever they cover generally sucks.

Last time they did it with the Bengals they ended up going like 9-7 and actually made the playoffs.

Last time the Bengals were on it they swept their division. In fact, most teams that have been on Hard Knocks have made the playoffs that season. The Dolphins were the exception I believe.

EDIT: Cowboys and Chiefs missed playoffs when they were on it too. I guess I was way off. Four teams out of the eight Hard Knocks seasons have made playoffs.
