When will coaches, scouts, and GMs in the NFL start placing at least *some* importance on how a QB performed in college when considering draft picks? Anyone that watched Josh Freeman or Blaine Gabbert play in college could have told you that they would be a trainwreck in the NFL, they were bad in college and they are worse in the NFL. People fell in love with their measurables and stopped looking at the fact that their play on the field was sub-par. K-States 3 worst seasons in the last 20 years came while Freeman was their QB. And Gabbert couldn't even put up decent numbers in what was supposed to be a high-flying spread offense (only threw for 16TD and 9INT his last year at Mizzou)

Yet guys like Russell Wilson and Case Keenum get overlooked by everybody coming out of college just purely because of their physical size, or their production being deemed a product of a "system".

Physical size plays a pretty important role for a QB. Being tall is really undervalued by fans for some reason. If Peyton Manning weren't 6'5", I don't think he's the same QB. Being tall can give a QB who would normally be medicore the edge to do well (see Drew Bledsoe) and being short can make an otherwise good QB in to medicore (Doug Floutie).

Exactly. That's why Flacco is elite and Brees sucks.

Because it's harder to know if a player was good because of the system or how much slower and complex defenses are in general compared to the NFL.

Physical traits, on the other hand, are easily measured and you know exactly where they stand.

Honestly, I think size is completely overrated. It doesn't matter if you are 6'5" or 6'1", neither is tall enough to see over the top of offensive lineman regardless, you still need open passing lanes to see downfield.

Giants are pulling an Indy from 2 years ago. Get the first pick in the draft, take a QB, run Manning out of town.

I agree. When your linemen are all 6'4" to 6'8", what difference does it make if you're 5'10" or 6'3"?

The Chiefs game was a blast/heart attack inducing great time. We got there two hours before game time, and about a half mile away it looked like the stadium was on fire from all the grill smoke. We had a Green Bay season ticket holder with us, and all he could say was 'WOW'.

That's like saying, "I don't think the size of the cock ass raping me matters, I mean what's the difference if it's a 4 inch dick or a 12 inch dick."

Do...do you guys think linemen just stand up perfectly straight and run in to each other? Like perfectly vertical walls in front of the QB?

I'm pretty sure it's the width that matters. There's no dick hitting some imaginary cervix type wall in your ass. A 12 inch dick with only 4 inches of circumference is probably going to suck less than a 4 inch one that's 6 inches around.

The QB isn't standing up perfectly straight either. Look at a QB dropping back and they've probably dropped 3-4 inches down.

Have you even watched Brees play? That dude is standing back there on his tippy toes and his kneck/head always tilted up, you can clearly see no one would ever stand like that unless they were trying to see over someones head.

QB's are pretty vertical the entire passing play. There's a very well known saying for football pertaining to blocking, "Low man wins". Does this imply to anyone that these 6'6" ogres are upright?

The idea that a 5'9" QB and a 6'5" QB both have the same visibility because linemen are so tall is retarded.

Thankfully I didn't grow up a Vikings fan, they are going to suck for a long time at this point. Freeman is not the answer, it's one thing to not know an offensive system in a week of practice. It's an entirely different thing to miss wide open receivers by 5yrds or more on a consistent basis. Just horrible.
