They need to flex out this next Monday night game. Sam Bradford might not have been good, but Kellen Clemens is possibly the worst backup QB in the league.

I wouldn't be shocked to lose this game 60-0.

Why the Rams FO thought going into the season with Clemens as a backup was acceptable is beyond me. There should have been someone in camp pushing for Sams job the entire time and now its really going to bite them in the ass. Can't believe I'm thinking the Rams need to hit the fucking reset button again on their Staff, what are Mike Martz and Lovie Smith doing anyways?

So, with the Cards potentially playing a WS game across the street, think this will be the lowest attended MNF game in recent history?

There's talk in LA today about the Rams attendance and how they can break their lease this year or next year if the Dome keeps being empty. Would be some small justice for having some crazy bitch move them in the first place though the money the NFL extorted out of St. Loius to move there is flushed down the drain. The Jacksonville owner wants to move his team to London now that he owns an EPL franchise in London as well. This leaves basically the Rams as the only team needing to move or get the city to fork over more millions to make up for the lack of ticket sales. Maybe Al Davis will sue from the grave to protect his LA area rights?! LOL.

So what you're saying is my predicted pick'ems tie breaker for this game of 41-10 Seahawks gives the Rams too much credit?

Unless the Refs try to keep it close because it's a prime time game and the Seahawks are on the take. (or just more naturally can't get up against a team that has no shot at winning.)

Honestly, I think size is completely overrated. It doesn't matter if you are 6'5" or 6'1", neither is tall enough to see over the top of offensive lineman regardless, you still need open passing lanes to see downfield.
First QB I thought of:

When will coaches, scouts, and GMs in the NFL start placing at least *some* importance on how a QB performed in college when considering draft picks? Anyone that watched Josh Freeman or Blaine Gabbert play in college could have told you that they would be a trainwreck in the NFL, they were bad in college and they are worse in the NFL. People fell in love with their measurables and stopped looking at the fact that their play on the field was sub-par. K-States 3 worst seasons in the last 20 years came while Freeman was their QB. And Gabbert couldn't even put up decent numbers in what was supposed to be a high-flying spread offense (only threw for 16TD and 9INT his last year at Mizzou)

Yet guys like Russell Wilson and Case Keenum get overlooked by everybody coming out of college just purely because of their physical size, or their production being deemed a product of a "system".
If you watch Gabbert play though the measurables do matter, and he'd be a pretty good quarterback if not for the crippling inability to adjust to the NFL game. His biggest concerns in the draft were ability to adjust to a pro offense, pocket awareness, and decision making. He was actually to comprehend the pro offense and showed reasonable ability to make good reads. His awareness is fucking abysmal and causes him to get antsy in pocket and deliver some terrible balls.

Basically every QB has questions coming into the NFL, and it's sort of a crapshoot whether they pan out. Gabbert has a lot to like as NFL QB, and just can't put it together. It's not a failure of scouting or institutional bias, but the demanding nature of an NFL quarterback that can't be gauged all that accurately from college experience.

You also pulled two examples of guys in really good situations, and Keenum has proved nothing. The situation they're placed in has a lot to do with the success of quarterbacks.

Was going to link this video to show how important size is. Look at him jumping to see over the line and only passing to people he can see through gaps in his front line even though there are other receivers open. Poor Flutie.

Watching Fox Sports 1 and they were talking about the epidemic of season ending injuries this season. It's staggering. There have been 124 season ending injuries so far this season. There were 86 at this point last year. WTF?

My favorite teams to watch are those that are fawwwkin dominating but are a QB shy of being great. KC, Chicago, and Houston are this years top contenders.

It's nuts, that's for sure.

This is a guess, but I'd say 90% of the people who watched Gabbert play college ball were shocked to see him drafted as high as he went. He was not good/great in college.
