Tannehill was on ESPN this morning saying that Martin and Incognito were buds and hung out outside of work and were together a lot. He said Incognito said Martin was like his little brother. Kind of makes me think there's more to the story than we're being told.

Do you tell your little brother he's a American Inventor and you're going to slap his mother? If so, you're a pretty awesome big brother.

I think it will come out that Martin is just mentally unbalanced. While the whole incident might provide a nice teachable moment about when hazing becomes too much hazing, nothing is going to change in the NFL. Richie Incognito isn't going to change; players on that team love him despite the fact that he can be an asshole and are generally behind him, as you can tell by what little Dolphins players have said to the media. I can almost guarantee that he is only suspended because Goodell called up the Dolphins and told them to do something about the shitstorm that was swirling around his beloved NFL's shiny image.

One thing I think is certain though; Martin will never take an NFL snap again. He is done; he broke the code of silence, and no team will be comfortable with him around.

I've been known to say these things to my brother, yes.

Do you not joke around with yours?

I don't know man. I get the point, but I can't help but have some compassion for the guy. It sounds like they didtryand handle this internally and all he got back was Ireland telling him to man up through Martin's agent. That doesn't sound like a public outcry to me. I think this guy was probably pretty weak willed and unstable. He tried to get help and contact team officials and recieved dick all in help. What's supposed to happen?

The truth is I think all this will probably just be forgotten before too long.

Sounds like Incognito and Martin had vastly different ideas on what kind of relationship they had with each other, but Martin played along with Incognito's version because of fitting in with the locker room and stuff until he couldn't handle it anymore.

The only thing you need to know about rather Martin will play again, was he good at Miami and does someone have a worse option than Martin same goes for Incognito, unless the league bans him. Shitty players get dumped and never find another team, good players get given more slack and it has been this way as long as hazing has been in football.

Martin hired a high powered attorney. His parents are attorneys out of Harvard. He's going to sue the Dolphins, and the NFL over all of this so called harassment. His heart was not in it. He was bullied off the field, and anyone who watched him on the field closely, saw him bullied by opposing de's. He is not an NFL caliber o lineman.

He will settle the suit with the NFL/Dolphins, and never play another down of NFL football again.

I can see the entire front office, and the coaching staff going down after this in Miami. I actually liked what the coaches were doing with the team, but they are done. Ireland will finally be gone as well, and should have been let go 2 years ago when the new staff was brought in.

It was easy for me to pin this on Incog because he was already a tool, but something else is amiss here. Whomever is to blame will end up being a side note in this massive clusterfuck. It sucks most of all for the fans, who are paying all these asshole's salaries.

The racial and/or Mama jokes don't work that well on someone that has the exact same parents that you do.

I wouldnt doubt the only people we dont see in Miami again are incognito and Martin. This shit will be swept under the rug and ignored.

Well no shit they haven't said anything. He'stheirasshole. He's a dirty player because he does dirty shit to the other team, not his own. That wouldn't make sense otherwise.

No matter what actually happened, Miami is fucked top to bottom. Which might just be what it needs.

This story keeps getting weirder. If nothing else, the Dolphins biggest mistake was underestimating either the level of abuse happening or the level of crazy in Martin. Once it escapes the locker room and the media runs wild with it, all kinds of dirty laundry comes out.

I bet they wish they had made more effort to deal with it in-house.

Not a fan of Incognito by any stretch, and if he never plays another game in Miami it's really not much of a loss. That being said, Martin sitting on a voice mail for 7 months smells awful fishy to me here.
