Does it make me a bad person if the first thing I thought was that this was going to ruin 2 of my fantasy teams?

Alex Smith Dies In Horrible Wood Chipper Accident

Alex 'Tiny Hands' Smith died late on Wednesday morning in his back yard in suburban Kansas City. Early reports indicate that extra leather in his size XS gloves got entangled in a wood chipper, pulling the winning quarterback into the chipper up to his shoulders.

Ed Reed signing with the Jets, which means he'll be coming back to Baltimore a second time this season with a second different team.

Kapernick vs Mccown for QB start this week?
Saints defense is like 4th or so in pass defense in the league not as good against the run so look for sf to run the ball this weekend, plus since vernon davis was limited in yesterday's practice he may be able to play sunday, but if not things don't look good for sf.

Plus saints are like I dunno, 22-1 at home last few seasons or something silly like that, but the 1 loss was to kapernick last year.

The coach who never punts... and always on-side kicks. Doubt it would work on anything but the high-school level, but still worth watching.

I kind of wish an NFL coach had the balls to always go for it on 4th down. I think if you look at it on an individual basis it's probably not a great idea (like if you do it from your own 30). But when you average it out over the entire game it ends up being a better decision. Especially on the NFL level where you have less players, that's a lot of extra plays to wear the defense down.

On side kicks though, that's fucking retarded. At least on the college/professional level. There's no way you'll get the ball often enough to be worthwhile.

It's also a private school so they'll typically end up with much better players than their competition. That's a huge reason for why this actually works.

yet when BB goes for it on 4th and 2 he's a dumbass right?
Yes. Did you not read my entire post?

My thought process there is that, while going for it on 4th deep in your own territory is stupid, if you also went for it in the opposition's several times earlier, it balances out. Also, the more times you go for it in your own territory, the more likely you will succeed at least once. Those times you're successful on your own side of the field balance out the ones where you fuck it up and turn it over on downs.

So using it all game would hopefully be a net positive.

I think the Redskins should really try it out. Our punter seems to shank a punt for 20 yards every single fucking game as is, so you may as well just free up his roster spot and try it out. Not much to lose at this point anyway. It'd be nice if you could get rid of the kicker and long snapper too, but you need them for kickoffs and extra points.
