What was formerly the greatest home field experience in the NFL is now a sad, intentionally ignorant shell of its former glory. The tailgating experience has a real District 9ish feel to it now. Only instead of being inhabited by degenerate crustacean refugees, the parking lot is full of the genetic consequence of allowing the two worst states in the union to fuck each other in the mud for 160+ years.

He's not bad, especially considering he's on our O-Line, but he's not near the best at the position.


edit: BTW I'm in Virginia(Redskins country I guess) this week and watching the local Fox news affiliate, they just had some sports radio guys on(106.7, THE FAN!) and when talking about Cousins injury one guy instantly goes "God forbid they have to play Rex week 1!" in geniune worry. It was funny.

I just remember seeing about how one of the twins came out early? and how they were both the second coming of Mike Webster. It was some sappy ESPN bullshit story that actually had me having good feels. It doesn't seem like that is panning out, but they are still young, I guess.

I'm a Raiders fan from Germany. My first trip to the Black Hole was in 1999. I wandered around the Coliseum tailgate before a game against the Jets and spotted a few of the celebrity fans, among them the omnipresent Darth Raider. I thought "hey, cool", walked up to him and asked for a photo together, you know - being a Raider fan all the way from Germany and all that. He put his arm around me, looked into the camera of my girlfriend and shouted "Heil Hitler!". That's it.

Oh, and fuck Art Shell two times.

Two preseason games for a starting player. Well done NFL you worthless organization, I just hope Incognito presses charges. Multiple people have been convicted in the NHL of manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon for hitting in the head with a stick, I'd like to see it in place here.

I hate the Steelers but it's hilarious that Big Ben gets a longer suspension for a non-rape than this guy does for trying to take someone's head off with a helmet.

Don't think any of the manslaughters from 80 years ago were convicted. And the assault cases that actually went to court and ended in any kind of guilty verdict were much worse, either resulting in horrible injuries or just blatant multiple swing stick attacks. They might want to rattle sabres at the idea of a charge to send a message, but nothing would ever come of it except a media sideshow. Which the league would probably pull out all the stops to avoid.
