Carolina scares me a lot more than Seattle does, honestly. The only thing scary about Seattle, is their overwhelming home field advantage. They have almost as many inconsistencies on offense as the 49ers, but their stadium keeps them ahead in most games. Carolina has a much scarier offense, with a defense that is arguably even better. If our playcalling doesn't get a whole lot better, we're in for a crushing defeat against Carolina.
Apparently I missed this part because I tuned out your rabble about Alex Smith.

I think a bigger concern beyond just going into Seattle, is how Kaepernick plays in Seattle. They seem to have his number and have him 100% rattled there. He already looks uncomfortable when the pocket begins to collapse in any game. But against Seattle it seems to be significantly worse. I am hoping against hope that the Saints can pull off the huge upset next week.

Well there was no flag. So if he blocked it, it isn't like it was going to come back.
Of course he was way offsides and of course there was no flag. The damn flags were frozen to the refs hips all day. Seattle should be begging for that crew to come officiate their games.
One of the recaps of the game that I read said there was a flag and the 49ers declined it (obviously).

They've Got That Look

No one is better than the 49ers right now. If they keep playing like this, they'll win it all.
Based on eeking by the worst team in the playoffs on a last second field goal. Jesus Christ, sports journalism...

Not that they don't have a chance or something, just the spastic ESPN overreaction kills me every time.

Of course it is, it's ESPN. Every single game is a referendum on the entire season. It's what they do.

Also of course I'm just nitpicking the latest clickbait ESPN headline. Despite Kirun's non-stop seeping vagina spew about the team they are playing great.

I'm like the biggest Smith fanboy in the thread, and even my praise of him is tongue-in-cheek most of the time. That's what you're not getting, you humorless dipshit. Most of us watched that Colts game laughing our asses off while we saw Alex-fucking-Smith drop 44 points and establish a 28 point lead against a playoff opponent on the road (despite the loss of Charles on the first series of the game). Meanwhile you're over there pouting in the corner like a little bitch because how dare Alex Smith bring anyone joy after all he's done to you over the years! That bastard!

For most of us, it's fun to see a guy achieve some level of success after nearly being written off entirely as a result of years of pure organizational incompetence by your team. You? You're bitching about your team even when they win a playoff game on the road? Do you even fucking like football, bro?
This. So much this.

Shannon Sharpe during the pregame was wearing a bright blue crushed velvet blazer with a bow tie.

I do not like that article at all. Fucking ESPN. They are basically already putting the 49ers into the Super Bowl, and basically dismissing Carolina and Seattle. Stupid.

This morning on the NFL network Antonio Cromartie was wearing shoes with like 7 colors on them and a shirt to match.

So, recap:

-more like home field DISadvantage amirite
-oh Bungles
-Both the Kool Aid Man and his former team got bounced. Somewhere, Donovan McNabb sighs and pours himself another drink.
-holding? what holding? *whistles*
-49ers red zone offense still consists of three plays, one of which is "field goal"
-Andrew Luck was MVP for both teams at the same time
-GB receivers wore out their knees catching Aaron Roger's low balls. And then they played the game. *ba dum tssh*
-SF uses Boldin all wrong. Making him run routes and block is a waste. Just point him downfield and throw a floppy turd in his general direction and he'll shove any defenders out of the way or draw a flag. Just repeat this for the entire playoffs and your QB will be Super Bowl MVP.

You might be on to something there. It worked for Flacco.

Boldin did plenty of blocking in Baltimore. That miracle 4th and 29 run by Rice in SD last year? Made possible by an awesome downfield block by Boldin.

Was at a bar watching Saturday. End of the first game this very typical New Jersey/Philly-area Guido dude comes in all loud and running his mouth while texting his buddies back home "BLOWING A 30 POINT LEAD, TYPICAL ANDY REID". He was singing a different tune by the half of his game. Neither of us stayed for the end, but it was funny in retrospect, new coach didn't get them any better result in the end. Nice enough guy actually, but a total Philly parody.

So the 49ers having to take a time-out before the very first play of the second half makes a *little* more sense now. I still wish they could streamline their play-calling process so they aren't blowing time-outs early and constantly being in danger of delay of game penalties.

Not only is Kaepernick fast, but he's a long-strider who eats up more yards than any running quarterback in the league. Sunday only added to his legend. With temperatures in the single digits and wind chills in the minus range, Kaepernick came out without any sleeves and refused to wear gloves. He did make one mistake, though. When he got onto the field for the start of the second half, he had to call a timeout because he forget the plastic play card he uses once he gets the play calls from sidelines.

So the Chargers put up more points and give up less against a team that is in my opinion better than the Packers and the 49ers are a Superbowl lock. Yeah okay .

Yeah, but their article on Rivers' 128 yard passing game making him the most feared qb in all the playoffs is totally spot on
