They're mostly billionaires... they surely aren't in it for only profit. You know how good it probably felt for Kraft to invite his friends to his suite during playoff runs? That's their incentive.
edit: There are also anti-tanking rules. I know they talked about investigating Miami when Flores was coach for tanking.

If you think Pete Carroll is a good coach at his age to start a rebuild for a team you havent seen what his draft record was like the last 10 years. Hall of fame coach but the current game has passed him by. He also wouldnt build an offense around a QB like Caleb.

Jerrah is going to resign McCarthy. It would just be the ultimate Jerrah move. At least he will be dead soon.

Maybe they were just exploring all options, I'd just be all over Carroll over wanting to talk to McCarthy. He'd at least build a good D to support Caleb as well. We saw what he managed to do with Russell Wilson in his prime.
Yea, letting Russell Wilson throw an interception at the end of the Super Bowl instead of letting Marshawn Lynch pound it down the Patriots' throat like he did all game...?

No playoff predictions?

This year's seeding is odd, as many wildcards were helped by beating up on the woeful AFC South, while many low seeded division winners have bounced back from midseason injury issues and are better than their records suggest.

NFC
2 Philly def. 7 Packers - Philly won the first time around, and frankly, the Packers have lost more to injury than they've gained from experience in the interim.
3 TB def. 6 Wash DC - Game of the weekend? TB has cobbled an offense back together, and I _think_ they squeak past the Commies and their recent playoff inexperience, but it'll be very close.
4 LA Rams def. 5 Minn - The rehabilitation of Sam Darnold is one of the biggest storylines of the year, but after seeing the results against the Lions, I am giving this to a Rams team that is much better than they were two months ago.

AFC
2 Buffalo def. 7 Broncos - Broncos, sometimes it's an honor just to be nominated.
3 Bal def. 6 Pitt - Steelers have looked like hot garbage recently, and while I expect them to do better in a divisional matchup, I still think the Ravens take this.
5 LA Chargers def. 4 Hou - Houston has stumbled into the playoffs as well, and I think both Harbaughs get wins.

Or, you know, going to back to back Super Bowls and winning one in dominant fashion v Manning and that Broncos offense vs whatever the Bears have done for 4 decades.

Definitely should have handed it off to Lynch at least one more time, though.

NFC
2 Philly over 7 Packers - Love being banged up doesn't help, and just feels like GB hasn't put it all together yet
3 TB over 6 Wash - I really want to pick with my heart here, but think our D won't be able to stop Baker enough
5 Minn over 4 Rams - Don't know why Rams sat their starters to get tougher game, don't think Darnold turns into pumpkin quite yet

AFC
2 Buffalo over Denver - Allen gets it done, closer game than some might expect, though
3 Baltimore over Pitt - Steelers just don't look good, never got the Pickens hype
5 Chargers over 4 Houston - Texans most obvious one and done team unless their O line pulls a massive 180. Double Nico and you're good.

NFC
2 Philly over 7 Packers - Packers are not winning this.
3 TB over 6 Wash - Skins feel a lot like the Texans or Steelers to me. I think Tampa gets it done.
4- Rams over 5 Minnesota - Rams are dangerous in the playoffs. Vikings historically do amazing in the post season especially their kicking team. Vikings miss crucial field goal at the end of the game.

AFC
2 Buffalo over Denver - Bills winning the Super Bowl
3 Baltimore over Pitt - Steelers look terrible and lost 4 in a row. Ravens kill them.
5 Chargers over 4 Houston - Texans suck

NFC I'm picking 3 road teams, I think 2/3 will happen at least. Feel free to reverse Cramer my picks.

NFC
7 Packers def 2 Philly - Love and Hurts are banged up - Hurts hasn't cleared concussion protocol yet, although partially because they sat everybody last week. I'm thinking the Eagles will come out a little rusty and flat, GB gets ahead early and throws them off their gameplan. Then, Big Dom will be needed on the sideline to keep Barkley from strangling Sirianni.
6 Wash def. 3 Tampa - Tampa looked like garbage in a must win game last week. Washington could be really scary if they start rolling.
5 Minn def. 5 Rams - I think Darnold bounces back from last week.

AFC
2 Buffalo def. 7 Broncos - I think this will be the biggest blowout of the weekend.
3 Bal def. 6 Pitt - This could be close, but I don't think Lamar chokes yet.
4 Hou def. 5 Chargers - Houston is banged up, but I consider this game a toss up, so, I'm picking the home team.

cause it went so well last time

He is arguably the most successful coach for the Jets, outside of their one SB year with Namath. He got them close a couple of times, while having to deal with Darth Bill at his peak. Bill had Brady, while he was stuck with Buttfumble. I doubt he will be more successful, but its not the worst option for them out there.

NFC
Philli over Packers- I think this is a close game, but Packers are still rebuilding and missing too many pieces. Our actual window starts next year.
Redskins over Tampa- Tampa is too inconsistent and Daniels is on fire. I got the Skins in a tight game.
Rams over Vikings- Kings of the regular season and playoff chokers is the Viking MO. There is a reason no one paid them attention all year.

AFC
Bills over Broncos- This will be the biggest ass whooping of the playoffs.
Ravens over Stealers- Tomlin is black Jeff Fischer. Ravens finally make it past round one with Lamar.
Chargers over Texans- Texans just completely fell off a cliff and are only in the playoffs because that division is so bad. It will look close, Chargers will be in control at all times.

Superbowl will likely be Lions vs KC, because the Refs worship black Jesus and he will get there. But theres no way KC can keep up with the scoring of the Lions. Lions biggest obstacle will be the Rams.

while he was stuck with Buttfumble
I wonder if it annoys Wilfork that Sanchez gets all the credit (blame) for that play. Like if Wilfork had caused a fumble by throwing the right guard into a good quarterback would he have gotten credit for a fantastic play instead of the QB being blamed?

Rams winning it all again. Stafford stealing souls, Puka showing he's good enough to be the WR 1 for years to come, and Kyren pounding the rock 25 times a game.
