Don't worry, Brandon Sanderson isn't that old yet.Dudes 75 now and interestingly, lower levels of obesity aren’t that different in longevity than no obesity and I think he’s not like morbidly obese, but either way he’s got 5-6 years before he’s on average dead
My apologies if this was discussed literally a page ago, but wasn’t the rumor about George’s feelings about another author finishing the series debunked? It went something like George spitefully refuses to have an outline/notes so no one could finish his story.
And the fact of the matter, I could give to shits. Despite maybe burning whatever manuscripts, notes, or outlines he has, he also burned all the patience, good will and appreciation from fans much earlier.George has said when he dies his wife has instructions to burn everything. How much of that is a joke or not we don't know. Even so they'll still hire someone to finish it up. His wife will get a check and we'll get a conclusion and that'll be that.

I hope the NY Giants all die in a fiery plane crash, and it just so happens to crash on his mansion wherever the hell he's living in Arizona or whatever. Hopefully while he's eating chicken wings.
The frustrating part being that Winds won't be concluding the story or anything. There's literally zero chance he ever writes the final book.
Theres a rumor hes dropping the next book at the end of this season of HotD.
That's because his ghost writer and editor didn't tell him about it.This is absolutely in no way going to happen. There is no possible way that fat fuck could keep his completion of Winds under wraps so completely that it would not be leaked.
He also ran out of hot wings on multiple occasions. This was before he had HBO money and could have them on tap.I'm pretty sure his excuse for Feast for Crows or maybe Storm of Swords was because of George Bush and the Jets sucking. Can still remember reading that dumb blog post from my apartment back in 2005.
Well, we had a few hints with how the showrunners went with what they'd got from GRRM. The problem is, he realized people were going to hate that type of ending. If he writes what's intended, he's going to get pilloried. So he's running with the Lincoln quote: "better to stay discreet and be thought incapable of writing, than to write and dispel any doubts".TLDR: The first part of the story is a subversion of Tolkien, low fantasy, everyone is flawed, no heroes. The ending should be the opposite, high fantasy and everyone working together because of heros who emerged. Otherwise it's just depressing.
But he's a socialist boomer so he can't do it.
