Could be the actual incentive that I needed to play the game more than 10 hours a week. Though who knows how often the siege weapons will be available. Could be a once a week thing and the rest of the week is back to farmville.

My prediction is that we'll have an explosive day where all the castles and housing is claimed very quickly on Kyrios, and then it'll pretty much go back to normal. I'm excited for the sieges because I love siege warfare and large scale PvP is what PRX is all about, but I'm not going to bullshit anyone. The sieges are only going to happen once every three weeks and from what I've seen the actual mechanics have nothing on GW2 or even ESO.

1. We don't know how many weeks we'll have between each siege. 1 sunday afternoon every 3 weeks seems pretty stupid right now.
2. There are like 12 castle zones. On most servers there will never be siege warfare because you can't own 2 castles at once.
3. No library, no level 55, no Obsidian Weapons, etc. Maybe, maybe we'll have decent open pvp.

Everything I've heard is that it's 100% for sure it's 4 castles. And that it'll probably be 3 weeks. IMO it should be once a week and there shouldn't be a minimum price (I heard it was 500g??) for the siege declaration item.

It's kinda frustrating how easy it'd be for them to make PvP much more enticing in this game. All they'd need to do in Auroria is:
1. Make PvP always give honor for killing anyone.
2. Remove all crime in Auroria.
3. Add high value mobs in different areas to fight over ala hasla

Personally I'd love it if all the zones were at war and any notion of factions was removed =\

Knowing nothing about auroria, would it even make sense to destroy anything? I mean you probably have to but if you were looking to take over you would want to siege as little as possible since you have to repair all that shit if you win.

If we had to siege a castle to get one we'd do absolutely anything we needed to in order to improve our chances of victory. If that means farming stone for a few days afterward then that's the price we'd pay. Too bad it's not like Shadowbane where the days leading up to the bane involve alarm clocking raids and taking your minotaur alts with a pick axe to the walls!

From what I've seen the typical strat involves cutting through each wall at a time so you can DPS down the stone.

This will probably be what it looks like for many players, nothing really that interesting unfortunately:

I have to be honest, after a week or so of not being able to play, I honestly miss the game. I've got another few days before I'll be able to be active again.

It's really sad how close this thing is to being really good. I fully expect in a couple months here for things to get kind of stale, populations to drop and especially for the economy to get royally fucked, but I am having a lot of fun so far. Haven't felt that way with one of these games in a long time.

Ive had a goat, sheep and yata pens for over a week and sheared them almost exactly on cooldown and havent seen the green/rare item from the collection of any of them. My luck is usually atrocious when the rng is involved so I wouldnt say 'no you cant' but it sure looks alot like 'no you cant'. For comparison I also had five individual yatas on a separate farm and got two Downy fur over a three day period.
