yeah but thats about where he is more or less i think, but yeah once you do this you will eventually plateau then you switch up programs, take a long rest can resort to creatine and all that juicy stuff to really push yourself forward. This only works for so long, essentially during the novice/early intermediate phases of lifting. Eventually it's just impossible to make weekly progress. Although above, I noted that at 195 he shouldn't be stalling out already. Maybe if he were in the mid-200's with his current body weight. Which to me means he's not taking in enough food to fuel his muscle building.
Its just a uphill battle, but you got to enjoy it when i think about how i went from 120 to 145 in like 6-8 months at the end i saw results but when i look back it was all just small gains each week that just eventually results in an overall change in you're figure the way you carry yourself etc. due to switching jobs i wasnt able to sustain that gym life and with my stomach issues i dropped 15pounds now at 130 working back up again, but it jus makes me realize i only lost probably 5pounds of muscle and the rest was fat, only 3 weeks back into the gym and i can almost reach my max for when i was 145ish for chest, and my shoulders are basically as strong as they were at 145, and same for arms chest was the only thing that got set back.
