Pro-boxing star Ted Grant, inspired by stories of The Green Lantern, became a superhero to clear his name. Wildcat has served as a mentor to many younger heroes including Batman and Black Canary.
Sorry, this one was hard to swallow with how the show dealt with him. He got almost beaten to death by some cholo in the street.

Some cholo? SOME CHOLO!? That's motherfucking Bullet Tooth Tony!

And as long as you want to harp about how the comic version of him blah blah blah, the comic Brick is super strong and has stone skin. So I guess they both got jobbed.

Deal with it.

I feel they are making Felicity this annoying just to push Laurel back to the forefront of the show.

She was originally intended to be one of the show's main star with Oliver and Tommy but she was upstaged by Felicity.

Whatever the reason, I miss the old Felicity.

I said that a few pages back, you asshat. It's still not as unbelievable as a guy who is Batman level losing to a random thug in the street. Really, if you look at it, they could have built up both Brick and Wildcat much more. They should have, it would have been more fun that way.

It isn't a big deal, since Batman-level isn't really anything special. If Wildcat were Superman-level, now that would be a travesty.

I'm fucking with you, obviously. It was just laid out there right in front of me, I had to at least poke it a little!

All the time you spend finding ways for the show to be more fun, you sound more and more like a miserable cunt.

Actually, Brick vs Arrow in the comics was much more interesting than it was on the show. A metahuman Brick is the perfect villain for Arrow, I remember Arrow not being able to hurt Brick. And given that Wildcat is an important part of Black Canary's origin, it should have been explored deeper. They kind of cut both of these stories off at the knees. Enjoy your filler episode next week with Count Vertigo. That's the third time with him now.

They have a 23 episode season, they could have gone deeper.

I'm glad to see Wildcat gone because the actor was atrocious. I feel sorry for whatever show he got hired on.

I do wish they had developed Brick a bit more. He kept getting shot, punched, and pierced but they never explained how he shrugged it off. I was waiting for them to talk about how he had some kind of nerve disorder that caused him to not feel pain, or perhaps metal plates inserted into his body or something. Especially given they got a fairly big name to play him, I was hoping for more. Maybe we'll get him back at some point with a bit more depth.

The problem is that Arrow has had a no meta's rule. So Brick and Canary are shown as normal people. To me, Arrow in the comics is more interesting when he's hopelessly outclassed by a meta. Anyway, the no meta's rule should have changed with The Flash, but doesn't seem like it has. Which is why Atom is going to be more tech based, instead of super powered. It's a choice they've made on the show, but after The Flash, it seems a bit outdated.

They could have easily explained Brick's toughness without making him a "metahuman" like we see in The Flash. Heck, they've already touched on people with similar toughness to Brick when they did the whole Mirakuru story arc before. That was basically giving people super powers (i.e., strength, toughness) without going as far as making an actual "metahuman" per The Flash. There are countless ways they could have explained Brick's toughness while staying within the bounds of the power levels they've set for Arrow.

*Edit* Astro beat me to it. Damn you!

Even knowing nothing about the comics none of you should think mobster Darkseid "works for you" =P But yea, it's not the comics.
I was being extreme but giving into Lyrical and his extreme comic views is just one step into losing the enjoyment wars. Next he will bring up Batman and his craptastic super-preparedness and that's how he never gets hit by gangster Darkseid's omega beams. Just don't give in!
