speaking of bench presses, I was watching a video yesterday and I couldn't help but think how ridiculous the strength values were for non-superhumans.

I dunno but I never understood the point of them either.

It just seems like it assists in bench presses, but if it's doing work for you why use it? I also don't understand how a bench shirt is capable of offsetting 400lbs, but guys with +1000 assisted bench get some 600lbs unassisted.

The shirts are incredibly tight and force your arms to bunch forward. As you lower the weight your arms spread which stretches the shirt across your chest so you end up with an elastic effect helping you push the weights back up. They also keep everything much more stable which helps prevent injuries.

I can practically guarantee MCU Quicksilver won't be speedforce fast. The only reason Xmen Quicksilver was so fast was because they wrote him back out of the movie right after he shot his load. Someone that powerful can't have a significant role in the entire movie unless they make him about 75% retarded like the Flash is in every Justice League cartoon.

I have a friend that has several state/national/ world records for female power lifting. She said the bench shirt basically forces your form and adds about 40 pounds to her bench.
