That could get you to 2,maybe2.5 quintrillion times normal speed. Honestly, be realistic.
This made me laugh way more than it should have.

I was just curious, I didn't want to cause a ruckus! I watch the dumbest shit imaginable so I'm completely capable of ignoring stuff like that, I just thought it was an interesting question!

Maybe his walkman isn't even playing music, he just puts it on so he looks cool after he's done. The music is just in the movie, but not actually in the scene, cause that does seem like some pretty gay music for Quicksilver to be listening to, even if it fit the scene perfectly.

Everything on his person and in his field of influence is sped up to what he is experiencing. Notice how when he throws the plate is goes fast then slows down to almost nothing as soon as it isn't influenced by him. Also when he pokes the guard in the cheek it makes ripples immediately then also slows down once it's out of his sphere of influence. That's the best I got.

That would explain why his clothes aren't tearing off every time he zooms, and why he doesn't need new arcade joysticks after each game.

Right and they've done something similar for other heroes, but if you start thinking too much about that aspect of his powers you start wondering if he could abuse them and it just never ends.

I can respect that as a well thought out and lucid argument. But in 1973, the Walkman prototype was still 5 years from being invented.

X-Men: A Tale of the Portable Tape - Tested

If you didn't bring that up I never would have googled it. Pretty interesting article.

You mean these movies aren't based on real life events? This ruins everything!!!

Maybe he has a sped up version of his music on his analog tape so it sounds normal to him when he speeds up?

In a new clip Whedon says Quicksilver is 'almost as fast or as fast' as a bullet. So no god-mode, just zippity doo da speed.

Quicksilver only gets insanely fast after he takes in the Terrigen mist. Then he can travel through time ,and shit.

How can he be a mutant and inhuman at the same time? Or can mutants survive contact with the mists?
