It's funny how by this point people don't even seem to be upset about any woke bullshit in Avowed compared to everyone simply being outraged at the shit that art director has been saying as well as the way the Avowed reddit has been treating everyone.
It's like that guy basically just created a shitstorm with his unhinged behavior and then they threw gasoline on that fire with the Avowed reddit being run by unhinged mods going after anyone who questions or doesn't support all the drama and controversy.
This could go down as some of the worst PR in the industry so far.

Doesn't seem like the industry has been doing as well as they want everyone to think, and lots of big budget productions haven't been selling nearly as well as they hoped.
Seems like these big tech companies are willing to lose a lot for the agenda, I guess the only question will be how much will they be willing to sacrifice.

Man its entertaining reading that steam forum. Obviously this game needs to be burned on a pyre. Any place that tolerates someone like that hensen shithead for as long as it did has got to be quite the bizarre woke disaster underneath the hood.

I just got
during the sale, since it will increase in price once it hits 0.9 in March (1.0 release May/June). 0.9 will introduce full prologue and act 1 and have no more wipes. Full release will have 3 acts with an expected 70-100 hours.
Booted it up, and it looks a lot better than Avowed. Less cartoony, more realistic like an updated Skyrim.
Though I guess there are some bad parts

We've seen so many game companies go from producing amazing legends to producing high-budget mediocrity as they've embraced the wokist cult that wokeism is a huge red flag. That's enough to motivate me to not buy a game unless the reviews really dispell the common issues, and even then only if I really want to play the game.
I'm struggling to think of a single development group that has gone woke and hasn't had their product severely diminished. All the great games are being released by groups that seem to either be ambivalent or hostile toward wokism.
