The problem with Supes is that they have so little design space they have to invent retarded weaknesses or equally as retarded special powers or new abilities for him to combat stuff of ridiculous proportions. Necessarily, because none of it is grounded in observable reality (as opposed to say, flying or being bullet proof which we can all conceptualize) it's all just hogwash anyway.
Batman has another problem, where he has a trifecta of deus-ex-machina character facets. If he's being overpowered in combat, a bat-tech item will appear (ala 007 oddball inventions which JUST HAPPEN to have direct impact in the story line some days/hours later). If his technology is being outdone, he can just ninja them in the face with his superhuman training and abilities. If both are being outdone he takes his megacorporation out and his intellect sets the stage so he can pull the strings.
Both characters areinsanelylazy. One because he's a god and the other because he's 'normal' but every time he'd be beaten, the repressed character element in that story goes 'SURPRISE, DID YOU FORGET BATMAN ALSO COULD: _____ ????'.

I don't mind superman if hes fighting other super beings. Why I thought that recent superman movie was good, because it showed people with equal powers fighting and what could happen. Also why I hate the movies where he's fighting things like Luthor and out comes the green rock. I'd rather they just leave people like him(luthor, bane, earth criminals etc) to people like batman etc.
For this movie they would literally have to introduce a whole new batman with insane powers for him to be able to combat superman. The batman from TDK trilogy would die instantly. It's going to be very interesting to see what they do to make the current movie batman competitive.

Batman is as physical as capn america but somehow always looses to a lanky joker with a scalpal and low tech gags like gas or a poison liquid flower. Its only by deux ex, he ever wins against the joker. At least wolverine and sabertooth used to take truns winning by slicing someones neck.

Yeah a nuke would probably be a good option, but I don't think Goku would be taken out by a nuclear blast (Cell's blast is supposed to be able to explode the planet). The only other options for batman would probably be some other artifact or recruit someone else (superman) to beat him.
