Uhh, pretty sure with the powers as-listed Superman gets beat by anyone with kryptonite he doesn't know about and who also isn't someone Superman will simply kill/disable on sight (pretty much everyone including his enemies).
Well, thats probably true. They always make Superman charge in like a retard into the Kryptonite situations too, so he'd probably do that again.

That and his whole "never killing" thing. If he didn't have that boy scout trait Batman could be loaded to the gills with kryptonite and still be dead as shit in 1/100th of a second

Yeah but by the time he's put in a position where he 'has to' kill batman he'd be toast.

Eh, plenty of ways to kill him without getting close. We'll never know. I can only hope they don't use some retarded mechanic to weaken superman and bring him down to human levels.

the exact effects of Kryptonite is all over the place itself.
Does it kill? does it weaken? does it remove powers? is it instant? is it slow?
Sometimes he can just resist it.

Seeing as how Superman can go near light speed, if it doesn't instantly kill him he'd decapitate Batman and beat him into paste before he even notices the kryptonite

The thing is, he'd never do that.

What's most likely is that batman and superman figure out a way to beat whomever set them up against each other.

Might not be anyone who set them up... They linked world's finest for a reason. So batman sees what kind of threat superman actually is and works against him. Then realizes that he's on earths side and gives him a cautious pass while planning for the day when they aren't on the same side

He moved the moon post-Crisis, with, you guessed it, a chain. This was shortly after the Tower of Babel storyline.

Pre-Crisis, Post-Crisis, it doesn't matter, it's cringe worthy writing.

I'd so much rather have original stories than just retellings of shit we already read
same here. I didn't mean to imply that it was just a rehash of a previous story... just that I don't imagine anyone "setting them up" against each other. I think batman will look at the wide scale destruction that was caused and be none to pleased with it. that's all the motivation i'd need in order for me to believe that batman and superman would be against each other. batman would naturally come across as the villain because he'd be the aggressor. superman would just be all, hey broseph, i'm on your side. then they learn to love each other in spite of their difference and give birth to the justice league.

I'd much rather have well made movies regardless of where the story came from. Whether the story is old or new is sort of irrelevant if it's done right/wrong. I'm not sure what specific Green Lantern story they followed for that movie, but it was donkeyshit because it was donkeyshit. Conversely Spider-Man 2 was awesome because it was awesome(if you disagree you are wrong), not because it followed any specific story.

Folks need to get over this idea that these movies would be good/bad based on some specific thing(R rating for Wolverine or original story or whatever). Some of them are well made movies and some of them are Amazing Spider-Man/Batman and Robin. There's no instant fix, good movies are good and bad movies are bad.

Can we rename this thread Batman V Superman: Nerd Fight? It's better than the actual movie title.
