You of all people should know that you could have also linked dozens of instances where he did actually react faster than a speeding bullet. As you said, whatever the plot requires. For BOTH Superman and Batman. And every other comic book hero that ever existed for that matter.

I know you just do it because it is your schtick now, and I expect you'll just keep up the Tanoomba'ing anyway, but this one really showed your hand more than usual.

Insert comment involving me, Superman, and buttsecks here. There, I saved you some typing as well.
Fair warning, if you keep fucking with me in this thread, there will be consequences.

Tell me, to the common man who may not know what we do due to being immersed in the comics world. Why would a suit of armor on Batman work against a "god" who leveled skyscrapers in a fist fight in Man of Steel.
It wouldn't. The explanation given by most hardcore nerds is "comic book physics is totally different!" Which is somewhat understandable, but I'm not sure how well that translates into movies based on realistic depictions of how these characters would be in our world actually (As MoS was touted to do). I mean, I generally tolerate Black Widow and Hawkeye pulling stunts that even the most physically fit human would actually get ripped in half doing. And I've tolerated some of Batman's more silly gadgets (Derp phone sonar!). So my big litmus test is if it works IN the universe. But inreality, if Superman could fly through the steel of a skyscraper--then even if the suit is constructed of a much harder material, like lets say a really advanced Allotrope of carbon, strong enough to stop Superman's fists even, the force transfer from the material, into a human body would essentially force Batman to leak out of the bottom of his own suit after a punch. Because he'd be nothing than a disgusting Batman milkshake in there.

So, yeah. You just need to leave reality at the door...What's going to be important is making it feel genuine in this universe, which if they can do? I'll be fine with. (On that note; luckily they did seem to tone down Kyrptonians in the movie. I mean, a missile knocked one out. So they aren't going full retard all star Superman.)

All that said, trailer looks decent for a teaser. Got me excited to go see it.

Just pretend the suit is made out of the DC equivalent of vibranium, which is how Cap wasn't turned into a Cap shake when Thor struck the hammer in Avengers.

I get a a Red Son/Dark Knight returns feel from that. Looks pretty cool so far but reserving judgement on trying to make plot sense out of it.

It's already been established, Batman at times wears suits that can generate force fields, like Iron Man. He's also worn suits that gave him all of the powers of the JLA (he reverse engineered Amazo tech). When he was The Insider, he did this. Also, he could cover the area with Krytonite, have his suit laced with it, or have red sun generators.

If you've read the old school JLA comics, they struggled to make Batman relevant. In the 90's, when they gave him the ability to counter powers with his technology, the JLA looked for him to save the day, and not Superman. Batman went from weak to being able to beat anyone in the DC Universe, if he's had enough prep time. And since he's paranoid, he's prepared for every metahuman years before he even meets them.

Which is why he's essentially the most poorly written hero in all of comics.

Anyone remember when Batman reverse engineered Amazo (who the JLA considers to be their worst villain), and ran around in a power suit?

Spectral Mode: Designed for ideal night operation through night vision lenses and light and sound dampening technology.

Speed Force Mode: Inspired by the Flash, the suit gives the wearer limited access to the Speed Force, accelerating their movements beyond human speed.

Heat Vision Mode: Inspired by the Kryptonian ability, the suit expels a concentrated beam of heat from the eye lenses, although a larger blast can be expelled through the helmet's central "eye" also.

Will Power Mode: Inspired by the Green Lantern rings, the suit possesses a finger-mounted energy weapon that mimics an Oan power ring's ability to fire a concentrated blast of energy at an opponent.

Camouflage Mode: Inspired by the Martian Manhunter, the suit enables the wearer to turn invisible for a set period of time.

Veritas Mode: Inspired by Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth, the suit possesses a filament cord that is lined with tactile sensors enabling it to act as a polygraph machine to discern if the individual trapped within it is telling the truth. Like Wonder Girl's lasso, the wearer can also send an electric shock down the cord to shock the entrapped individual.

Flight Mode: A standard ability amongst meta-class superheroes, the suit possesses the power of flight through the manipulation of gravity and magnetic forces.

Teleportation:3-meter radius and carrying other individuals away.

I never read any of the comics, but I love all the comic movies that have come out. That said, they will need to do a lot of explaining in order for me to understand how Batman can safely battle Superman.

Superman might able to move "faster than a speeding bullet," but he doesn't react faster than a speeding bullet.

I guess he felt lazy that day.

It's been established the guy can straight up manipulate time when things dont work out.

look at it this way, picture manofsteel as an atomic blast, then picture batman wearing a refrigerator around his body and now you can see how completely safe batman would be in that fight.

Guessing the Batman v Superman is going to be a major troll. They will gear the whole fight up the first half of the movie and then they will talk it out and not fight. That way there will be no batshakes in fridge suits. Then they will do something together like go after lex.

It's narrative that let's Batman even put up a fight with Superman.

Let's just take TDKR, he wasn't just in a metal batsuit.

Both are older, let's get that out of the way.

Superman took a nuke exploding in the face, it really weakened him, b/c when they confronted, Batman sent (the equivalent) of drones to attack/pummel batman.

He had Carrie in a tank fire and hit batman with enough force to sink a battleship.

He fired a sonic gun (i'm guessing to mess with his equilibrium) and the Metal Batsuit is powered by being tethered to the city's powergrid.

Every action and anticipation was planned b/c Batman knew Superman, he knew what he would do and how he would react, from decades of friendship/battles.

Right down to synthesizing his own man made kryptonite fired by a 1 armed arrow.

And then messing with Superman's head by targeting his heart(not his real heart, but that he cares, cuz he hears Batman's heart give out), cuz this was the most Batman could do.
Trick Superman, he could never beat him, he had to rely on the hope that Superman still had feelings (cuz he's a fucking alien) and cared that Bruce died fighting.

And TDK narrative does NOT shine light on Superman, this isn't a way to give Batman a dirty win, no Superman is the worst and dumbest government lackey, he is the lowest scum in TDK.

Just like this battle doesn't end the way every thinking human on earth would believe.

Of course it is. Its the classic early fight then team up. Its just going to be plodding and boring and awkward...the stuff goyer writes without Nolan around to make it interesting and dynamic. Batfleck is going to be fine. This script is going to blow.... (psst heres a secret nerds - TDK returns destroyed comics for years).

I fully expect this universe to blow until they get Morrison to pen a time traveling batman movie that ends with him punching the *maybe* equivalent of the devil made human in the face and rebooting the franchise at the end of time with a the symbol of crime, hope, and the multiverse in a wishing machine.

I never read it, but I understood the power suit being posted by the city's power grid as meaning that the suit was able to mechanically resist kinetic force. Whether this was due to polarizing his armor and using inertial dampeners and other star trek tecnobabble to withstand any damage, or simple plot armor, I don't know
