No it's not.... He's super weak to magic, mind control, etc... Also you can take him away from the sun which is his power source.

And Doomsday Killed him..

I am convinced this movie is going to be amazing. Just way too many people hating on it here with very little evidence.

You can also just beat him to death.

My evidence is the Man of Steel trailer when superman flew into the sky with the sonic booms and the wow and the awesome and i thought "these motherfuckers are going to do it right" And then the movie came out. It was worse blue ball jackassery than that superman returns trailer with the brando voice over. I am done with anything penned by goyer.

Probably been linked in the thread before.Always makes me laugh though.

Since I read afleck was going to be batman I knew this movie was going to rock, can't wait.

Batman would have already gathered the dragonballz before the fight.

I just don't get the hype because the DC movies are such a cluster right now. Christian Bale batman ended (with something of a whimper really). Superman has been a complete clusterfuck of a mishandling of that character in the cinema since what, Superman III? I mean III was passable but not that great and IV was a train wreck. I guess to some degree I'm glad they aren't doing YAOS again with Superman, but I was really underwhelmed with the direction they took the character in the last movie.

I don't know how they are going to make this not just appear to be a 'hey, me toooooo' RE: Marvel's success on the big screen.

Superman 2 when it was taken out of Donner's hands yo. Sure, his version used fucking time travel again, but that wasn't as bad as the random ass powers displayed at the end. (throwing his S, lol...)

We probably mostly remember Superman 2 as the best movie, too.

Zod was to the Superman movie franchise what Khan was to Star Trek. Though WoK was actually a good movie.

superman 2 and 3, don't hold up.
I can tell you as a kid, I loved both. Loved Pryor, everything. The S shield was silly, but so what? It never even occurred to me that Zod, etc might have died falling into the pit. that is the kind of thing adults see and question.

so there is a truth there. Making a movie kids enjoy, and one adults do often don't entirely line up. its BEST when they both do. Starwars holds up. Raiders holds up. temple of doom does not.
superman 1 holds up. Superman 2 not so much. Most of it does. But not all of it. The whole director swap, plot changes etc are kindof noticeable in hindsight, esp as an adult. And as much as any of us WANT to say, zomg Donner's vision and Donner cut!.. there is no way you can justify rewinding time AGAIN, and rape kiss. Other then, thats the best part of Superman Returns. The reason Lois doesn't know her kid belongs to Superman, is he had sex with her before the end of Superman 2. got her pregnant, never thought to check, then erased her memory of it at the end of superman 2. and he left for Krypton right after, before she started showing.

it was silly enough the first time, but completely undoing everything that happened in the movie is terrible catharsis.
