Batman beating Man of Steel Superman isn't the huge deal you guys think it is. Superman always modulates his power level to his opponents and moves at "plot speed" like Lyrical says.

Batman knows this and lays down an intricate trap where Superman doesn't know he's in real danger until he's incapacitated enough that he can't just Superman his way out of it. The power suit isn't there to overpower Superman like Zod tried. It's there to survive the weak attacks Superman does until Bat's trap is sprung. TDKR's version of this is perfectly acceptable.

Even though MoS superman is extremely durable and powerful and MoS captured that in a way that literally no other movie even attempted, MoS superman falls right into Bat's hands. The aspect most in Batman's favor about Man of Steel Superman is that that version of Superman isn't that smart, tactical and seems to have poor situational awareness. The other versions of Superman that are constantly dissecting their opponents mentally and are aware of everything around them because of super-hearing would be much more dangerous.

Now if Batman makes a Hulkbuster suit for Superman and punches him hard enough to win, this movie is garbage and Lyrical will admit it.
You guys are forgetting the lore. In DC, the best martial artists are considered superhuman. This is why a non powered Karate Kid can keep up with meleeing Superboy/Superman/Supergirl the dozens of times they've fought over the years. Oh, and newsflash, Batman and Karate Kid have tied in a fight.

Many of you keep quoting lore you haven't read or know anything about. A non-armored Batman, if true to the lore, would be able to keep up with Superman. But they'll dumb down Batman to his armor and tech, because that's what the Superman fanbois want.

Long post aside, Batman doesn't need his armor to punch Superman hard enough.

Maybe you missed in Man of Steel when Faora was knocked out cold by a generic missile launcher? Batman has better gear. He's not running around with military grade stuff, he's been show to keep a nuclear payload on the Batmobile just in case he runs into the more powerful metas. And from MoS, it's clear they aren't going to use a Pre-Crisis Superman, he's fallible.

Lyrical is the kind of guy who thinks it's totally ok that Black Panther got Silver Surfer into an unbreakable armlock.

What's your problem with a Black person beating Silver Surfer, you racist fuck? A pre-nerf Black Panther can solo Galactus, let alone a his herald. Many of you have never read a comic book, but Doctor Doom was stealing the Power Cosmic from Silver Surfer like 50 years ago.

I was exaggerating of course. The point is almost every creative crew that takes over Batman and Superman change what ever they want about them in every medium, Video games, comics, tv, animation etc.Keeping very specific parts of their lore in tact. I.E. Bruce's parents always die etc. So trying to say this crew made Batman this powerful in so and so comic is pretty futile, and isn't evidence of anything.

Also the new 52 is something in the last 4 years. It used to be Crisis on Infinite earths! They constantly change everything in the DC universe. One day there might be 3.

And why 52? because they planned on releasing 52 titles.

In contrast Marvel has a much tighter reign on their franchises. Which is funny because on the flip side DC is very specific about any design changes in there artwork down to how many stars were on Wonder Woman's Grandma panties.

Its been 52 since that garbage event in the early 2000s.

O yes because everything that came after it was so much better, haha.

2005 for 52
2011 for new 52

In contrast Crisis was in 1985.

For those of you saying that tech has no chance against Superman, pay close attention to this video at 35 seconds, and then at 2:16 seconds, when Superman is getting ready to lose (before being saved by Batman).

That isn't what happens in this video.

What the heck happened to Mr. Freeze here. He shoots rays out of his hands?

Oh jeez, that was that awful "The Batman" cartoon. Lyrical will source anything and everything to prove a point, which just proves that any point no matter how stupid has a source in comic books.

At 2:16, it was very clear Superman was not going make it past another blast of red sun radiation. But you knew that, you were just trolling.

I knew it was a production based on a comic book so that whether Batman showed up or not, Superman was going to win the fight. At the time you referenced there was no indication Superman was even approaching breakpoint.

But you knew that...? Probably?

You can't discount the lore that agrees with your argument, and only agree with lore that fits what you are saying.

My argument is that the fight can go either way, and that those that say it should be one sided, and that Superman is going to knock Batman to the moon in two seconds, don't know the lore one bit. If you think it's going to be a one sided and a short fight, I have news for you. I expect it to be an even fight, until the end when they decide to team up.

The point that everyone is trying to make, and that you somehow can not seem to wrap your head around is that some "lore" is awful and absolutely should be discounted.

Your argument is that they aren't going to make a multi-million dollar blockbuster movie called "Batman vs Superman" in which superman simply tosses batman into the sun in the first two seconds of the fight? Really going out on a limb there pal. I would never expose myself like you have here.

Especially in a universe that so far has not established him having a weakness to kryptonite nor has it even been discovered.

Just a weakness to having his neck snapped and women having a weakness to him with wet panties.
