At some point, you are better off playing against each other than stacking one team and standing around with your dicks up each other's butts.
That's what scrims are for; unfortunately the competitive scene in this game is all but non-existent due to reasons I doubt need any mention. Every time we end up on opposite teams we just end up kill trading all day long due to knowing each others playstyles and tendencies down to a T, nevermind having to go through the process of continually re-adjusting who's in what mumble channel if we're on a ranked server of any sort so as to be able to communicate effectively, or the fact that many of our specialties are an exact antithesis to various other players', e.g. Slaughter in the AA, Hide in the little bird / infy, certain others in jets and so forth. It would literally just turn into a rock paper scissors match of attempting to counteract what we know they're going to bring to the table, with each of us going after one another so as to counteract their relative effectiveness.
All we have to even resemble said scrims is various platoon challenges that are popping up, or various other groups of similar size and scope that like to follow us into servers or vice-versa. The last time we had a match of this caliber was when we had 9 of the top 30 individuals in the country in the same server duking it out with a 4/5 split favoring them, and it was a fucking blast. Unfortunately opposition of this sort is few and far between. We should be doing somewhere between a 16v16 to 32v32 against Symthic folks here sometime soon. If any of you know of any platoons up for said challenge, tell them to post on the Casual Farmers' Association / CFA platoon page and I'd be happy to discuss specifics.
a good player wants to compete against other good players, not just beat retards. a bully/asshole just wants to beat up little kids, its too bad your parents didn't raise you better
I'll take the asshole comment freely; I have no illusions as to why it comes off this way. Bully, eh. If there were organized teams left that actually would entertain the challenge, I'd be more than up for it, though this has already been explained above. Outside of the potential challenges likewise mentioned above, there's little left to do besides beat said retards into the dirt in the hopes that some of them might come to their senses and stop being so bad. Most of the individuals I play with have nothing to prove to anyone, doubly so when there's no competitive scene, thus we simply enjoy gaming with one another as we have for several years now. We're talking about a mixture of members from some of the top clans in the world, whether it's in BF4 or BF3/BC2 (rivaL, legacy, Exertus, clerks, shot docs, etc.), who are now for the most part defunct so we're essentially at the peak of where we need to be for a game that's already dead competition-wise.
Give me a Battlefield game that isn't ridden with bugs and fundamental mechanic issues, or weapons with disproportionate skill / effectiveness levels and you'd quickly see us going back to the BC2 days of hardly being seen in pubs, or in those which are known to be populated with skilled players. Until then we're simply squeezing what enjoyment we can out of this title.
