I'm right there with you. There was so much shit going on with the Cylons when I tried to give the show a chance, that I was just left constantly thinking "how could we ever win back against this type of crazy shit when even I could be an Agent? Tf" I watched the old shit, but couldnt get into the newer stuff.

The appeal of this show always gets me though. It has like the right "look" just like Expanse does. But they always put in too much "As the World Turns" type of drama/shit and it comes out fucking awful. Not every scene needs to be action, but entire episodes of some ugly fucking lady blabbing on and on trying to set the stage for her story is just awful.

Really wish one of these super rich techno nerds like Zuckerberg or Musk would make a Sci Fi show that would show Bezos how its fucking done.

They had one RE the cylons. They just didn't have a plan for revealing it during the show. It's been a long time, but IIRC they were on the bubble a lot, never knowing what season would be the last.

The girls on the scifi channel shows were so hot. Alphas, eureka, Warehouse 13. The chicks were super cute on W13.

She got naked on Dexter as the psycho girlfriend in S2.

She played a good role on Defiance as well. That show was such a cool concept, shame the game tanked and the show not long after

First two and a half seasons of this show are, imo, the best show ever.

Then after the boxing episode you get the retarded half of the horse from the GoT meme, wrapping up with a couple good episodes near the end.

If this show had been only 3 seasons, and they had cut out the bullshit (and didn't get their funding cutoff by SyFy) then it could have been great. As it is, it was only okay. Still though, when can convince someone to binge through the show, they usually say it was really good. But the last season and a half was painful watching week to week, then waiting through an entire writer's strike.

Yea, I thought it was pretty good overall when watching the complete show as a "binged" show, but I have only watched it once. It was one of the first shows I remember watching on streaming Netflix (along with Lost).

Theres a sci fi show that I enjoyed watching despite its not "low" but mediocre budget. I dont remember the games success or failure having any impact on the show, but its not like the show didnt have a niche audience either.

I think if the game had been more popular, it may have driven more views of the show since they kept the "happens in game, happens in show" thing going for most of the 1st season anyways and very sporadically after.

Show had some good people behind it (a lot of Farscape alums), although Farscape itself was niche even though it was probably my favorite TV show of all time.

I think originally they were planning on it to be five seasons and no more, but then sci-fi in their infinite wisdom killed the show so they ended up having to rewrite a bunch of stuff. I think that's why it gets a little bit more jumbled towards the last season and a half. Have they been able to relieve flesh out everything and have that extra run of however many episodes, could have been up there is one of the best shows ever.

Personally it's probably one of my favorite TV shows still, despite its flaws. I made my wife watch it and even she was totally into it. I remember when the episodes were coming out every Friday night, and then BSN with one of my buddies about what we thought was going to end up happening. I don't know I never cared for the miniseries when it came out but then the series did, and it was spectacular.

I know folks don't necessarily care for the final season, but it's not bad, but it has its moments.

Still better than a lot of crap that gets shit out nowadays, on the biggest thing is the characters are believable.

I do rewatch it once a year or maybe every other year, it is a little bit of the time investment.

The ending was super retarded on a few things but yes, this is like one of the formative shows of my teens.

The battlestar jumping into atmosphere to dump it’s fighter payload while in freefall, then jumping out, is some of the most amazing sci fi to ever grace a screen.
