Honestly, it is pretty decent. A few threads popped up similar to OG misc that led to it becoming a cesspit, but the mods and others were quick to call the op out and it was well sorted.
Largepeter is doing a good job as mod. Mostly in the background and not posting anything mad
Most members are keeping a lid on things, no spamming, no infighting
Seems everyone is glad the place is up and growing. Apparently around 230 members

It's seems okay so far / best "seems like old forum" place so far. Hope it works for them.

All other attempts will just fail with an eventual boot from system imo.
A forum can be managed to contain some of the extreme outlier personalities / while also giving it a very low need for censorship and exclusion - bb.com just didn't have the tools, and imo the right type of approach to navigating certain personality types.
It's really easy to manage it on discord / with multiple ways available to do so. it just doesn't reflect anything close to what we had for a few decades.
discord functions for a good rally point to go to until we find something else, so everyone doesn't get lost.
doesn't satisfy the nostalgia itch.
This place seems good- it's just not "our place" not had the same time nostalgic void full of multiple decades I think many want.
Some rag on the misc / but even in the worse times, it was our worse times.
Btw- talked to a bb.com mod / they are completely in the dark.

Funny thing about food pics is that sometimes the meal might look like a dogs dinner but I still know that shit is delicious...

Last night's dinner was my version of adobo over brown rice; essentially chicken braised for an hour in soy sauce, Worcestershire, Oyster sauce and vinegar.. Hopefully you can see the onions and garlic as there is plenty of both...
In the second pic, the meat looks dry but it's falling off of the bone and moist AF!
