We are directly south.

It's beautiful in the foothills and the mountains. Driving to Apple Hill was the first time I have been through Eldorado Hills. I can see why people like it out there.

It's pretty frustrating tbh.

The State just won a lawsuit against our city that will allow them to ramrod two "affordable housing" homless community initiatives, which is effectively the State's policy-means for distributing the homeless throughout California.

Agreed on the tactic of creating codependency between the State and recipients of social welfare schemes.

"Social safety nets" function like "social spider webs."

Man, there's a whole new season or two of Darkside of the Ring I still haven't watched yet. I also downloaded that "Wrestlers" documentary with Al Snow and haven't finished that yet.

I'm not much of a TV person, but these are things I want to watch at some point.

I remember that whole area being pretty rough. I didn't usually go north of the Tonawandas or Grand Island very often, though. But it was pretty easy to follow Military north.

I had lived near Amherst & Elmwood, near where Voelkers used to be. It's looking kinda rough these days, LOL. I remember drinking here on occasion.

I also remember walking around Black Rock after dark a couple of times, and getting hassled by groups. Decided that was a good fucking way to get robbed or stabbed. No idea if that neighborhood got better or worse.

Darkside is either an amazing show or shit depending on the topic, its really hit or miss, the good ones are good though.

Affordable housing (i.e. government subsized housing) as a concept is always sold as an awesome idea to help people out. In reality, it always fucks over whoever ends up being surrounded to it. I hate to sound like a jackass, but a similar concept, Habitat For Humanity, I swear basically all of those houses seem to get filled with the type of people who make really shitty neighbors. Just my experiences.
