I'm really tired of talking about forums but I gotta ask - why do you guys care? We all have a place to feel comfortable, why do we all have to be in one place?

We were pretty good at keeping up with the news cycle at BBcom too. It was a lot more individual threads, too, so sometimes people would still be arguing in the the thread for days on end, even after it had left the news cycle.

I grew up on this misc, I guess I'm just sad to see it go. A lot of my favorite posters ended up on here, but really this is just a mega thread, kinda like a chat. I was hoping we'd recreate what the misc was somewhere.

also we had some pretty epic thread resurrections - like Bodhy making bold claims about illegals being an economic boon and then six months later you blasted him with new reports to the contrary and all he could cry about was that you brought up an old thread which meant you had saved it to stalk him later...

I was hoping I'd see you here at some point Coast, good to see you. I hope everything os good with you.

There was kind of a flippant attitude toward people that expressed they weren't happy where the misc had gotten to. The usual response was "if you don't like go to reddit" or some other phrase.

When it died some of us did that (minus the reddit part).

yeah there is this thread and there are like hundreds of others too, i don't know why everyone keeps thinking this is a single thread forum.

we just post in here to keep up with each other specifically but I post in other threads and I know a few of the other guys do too.

Hell R rectifryer made an epic rate your penis thread. Seriously it was the best penis rating thread I have ever seen anywhere. And I post on sex forums

Thanks, but he was always a total fucking asshole to me back on the misc. I wanted to let that shit go here, but now it seems like he's insistant on going back to that. What fucking ever, I don't fucking get it.

As stated, for certain reasons, various people are not moving on. Mostly due to a lack of a certain type of moderation and trolls.

That one person that lockdev is talking about is not wincel, but it is insidemane. Not sure if you recall, but he used to post pics of underage girls, and constantly talk about underage girls and got banned a million times on misc. He would post pics of girls as young as 14yo in bikinis and sexualize them. You may not know him as insidemane because he was always on a new alt each day. So, a lot of us did not like his peedo presence.

I had asked lockdev about the rules and was hoping for no underage shit (a lot of us have families and kids and just don't want to be anywhere near that type of peedo shit). By that time, lockdev had already allowed insidemane to post underage girls in the NSFW section, granted his rules are they are 16yo or older and clothed. I didn't ask for insidemane to be banned (although that would be ideal because he is fucking gross), just to not allow underage shit. And his belief is that since technically it is not illegal, he is ok with it.

I know myself, and others, can't really associate with a place that would condone that type of behavior. Regardless if they are still clothed girls on tiktok, instagram, etc., I just can't see myself posting around someone that sexualizes underage girls. So that's that.

And at last headcount, it was about 17 holdouts still here, not 4 or 5.

I am trying over there srs. I think for me what MM and Lockdev have in mind is what was (for me) the worst part of the misc without the best part.

Instead of a crew of posters that are into self improvement, an overall positive life outlook and being funny cunts - it's the opposite. Mostly just lifelong rotter alts that were perpetually unfunny try hard edgelord reds moving from one account to the next. It's literally these scummy barnacles that made all the decent guys leave over the years imo.

No one decent wants to interact with legit mental cases every day, it wears you down and if they are most of what is left guess what happens?

I see, I didn't even realize this was going on. I never ventured into the NSFW section as I don't see the point of that even existing on an internet full of porn. I think the old misc did that right by not allowing porn to be on there at all.
