Well... not totally sane, in Chuck's case..Depends on your perspective. Chuck is basically the Skyler of this show. If Walt and Saul were not the protagonists, then Chuck and Skyler would seem totally sane and rational and not epic fucking cunts.

Marco.I liked watching the con games he ran with his buddy (can't remember his name so I will call him fatman).
1. that's the ring he wears in BB, BB is all about the jewelry and consistent bling, in a season break they had to create an entire scene just b/c it was pointed out that they didn't have consistent bling (s5 the gas station, btw)I don't quite get the ring fatman's mom gave jimmy though. I mean, did fatman wear that ring? Cause if jimmy could only fit it on his pinky, fatman would have had to have it on a chain around his neck. Also, I thought he'd take that last rolex as a memento. Maybe we'll see some significance to the ring later on.
Question for the BB fans. Was there any part of saul's business that was legit? Because I get the feeling he really does like helping the elderly and I could see that going forward he use the elder law as a cover and treat them all fairly and protect them, while at the same time having side business with guys like nacho and tuco.
Well, really the criminal defense part of his practice is legit. Think back to his original handling of Badger's case. He was gonna plea bargain his punishment down by working with the APD and the DEA. There's nothing illegitimate about that. It's standard MO in our criminal justice system.Question for the BB fans. It was less specifically underwhelming and more an indicator of a larger problem to me. The high points of the season were, to me, 5-0 and the scene with Jimmy's brother. Both of those answered major trailing questions from Breaking Bad. First, why was Mike in ABQ and what happened to set up the scenario with his granddaughter, and second, where Jimmy Mcgill ended and Saul Goodman was born. That was great, and it was riveting, and it was all well written and well acted. The problem I have is for those two core characters there are no more huge questions from BB we need answers to. So my question is, where does the compelling drama come from? It can still be a well written, entertaining show, but I can't see where we are going to get any more of those nutpunch Vince Gilligan moments we seemed to get two a season of from Breaking Bad and we got from those two scenes this season. I'll be watching of course, but Saul being Saul going forward will be fun but it won't really be dramatic, if that makes any sense.I don't think season finale was underwhelming, it helps defining Saul's character, how he went from lowlevel con artist from newborn lawyer. Chuck felt bad because Jimmy's law degree is the easy way while Chuck probably went to college and worked his way to the top, being a hardcore whiteknight lawyer guy. Then again I think it's definitely not about good / evil stuff, it's more about how people struggle when they're into grey area. It's kinda stated with the old geezer / young wolf cop duo. There are different ways to deal with some stuff.
It's Vince Gilligan and Bob Odenkirk. The show will still be awesome even if it doesn't revolve around answering BB questionsIt was less specifically underwhelming and more an indicator of a larger problem to me. I hope they prove me wrong. But I just left the season feeling like the only really compelling action going forward would have to be in the Nebraska timeline and the ABQ stuff will just be entertaining filler before we see Saul's final resolution.
Umm. She chose dumbo instead of walt? Seemed fairly clear to me.there is only one BB question i feel still needs answering and this will never happen on this show. what the fuck did walt's friend and his fiancee gretchen do to piss walt off enough to throw his career away and become a damned chemistry teacher?
