The problem I have is for those two core characters there are no more huge questions from BB we need answers to.
How each of their relationships with Gus is formed is still unknown. That might not be a huge question for you, but it is for a lot of people.

Mike also seemed fairly knowledgeable about the cartels in BB. That doesn't immediately seem like something he'd have picked up as a cop in Philly, so there could be some interesting storyline there.

I thought the finale was a little weak as well. But atleast Saul is born and now we can get to the good shit next season. Not saying this season was bad, but I am really looking forward to Saul being Saul and not Jimmy.

Finale was fine. The entire season was showing why being the person Chuck wants Jimmy to be was bad for Bob Odenkirk's character. We never saw why being Saul was good for the character.

Showing Marco and their escapades (along with how much Jimmy hated bingo) was the motivation that Jimmy needed to be his own man and be who he wants to be. The 'good lawyer' was just a front he did to try to earn his brother's respect and earn a living. But he is slipping jimmy, and now slipping jimmy has a law degree and enough money to become Saul.

I think there could've been a scene shown where Jimmy meets with the new lawyers and they treat him as Chuck's younger lawyer brother and expect him to be like Chuck but still live in his shadow. This would've made his exit of the parking lot and conversation with Mike make a bit more sense.

I think just like Marco, Jimmy had the week of his life. Thats why he didnt bother meeting with the lawyers imo.

That interview that was posted makes it sound like he did actually meet with the lawyers, but they purposely made us think he didn't.

Oh, yeah I agree. It made it seem to the audience that it didn't happen, but it could of. I remember being annoyed by the sequence of events because I was really excited to see the meeting. I wonder if they'll show what happened during the meeting later.

This show is obviously flashback heavy and the writing is good enough that they can explain the plot by revealing past events without it seeming like every flashback is a rerun, but honestly I get kind of tired of it and don't like flashbacks in general.

weird, it seemed like one take I guess I'll have to watch the end again.

I was hoping he actually would take the corporate job and the first 3-4 episodes (or more) of s2 would have been him at a big corporate lawyer job, and slowly slippin jimmy comes out, he takes shortcuts, bends the rules, and gets his ass fired.

Marco's ring is worn by Saul in all of BB. In season 2, we discover where he got his cufflinks!

I don't mind, I want them to move it along. Season 1 was all about how Jimmy made the decision to become Saul. I'm glad it's deliberate rather than accidental. Now that he's made the choice I want to see how he transforms the character.

Have mixed feelings about the finale. I mean I get why it all happened the way it did but something just felt a little off compared to the rest of the season. That said I'm excited to see where this goes.

I can easily say with the amount of work Jimmy and the dead guy put into these scams, I would have (not so happily) have paid $100 for that story. Worth it in that aspect.

Heh, I think that is the grifter culture. More about the swindle than the actual dollar amount.

I get the sense that they did shoot or intended to shoot the sit down scene with the lawyers, but for whatever reason, it was pulled. The last 2 minutes of the episode were kind of clunky. He works himself up into a frustrated rage saying "never again!" when they could have showed what lit his fuse.

What a phenomenal first season though. Exceed my expectations.

I watch the TV rips and was shocked - SHOCKED I SAY - that they dropped the "F" bomb twice. Was this bleeped out during broadcast in the US? I thought cable networks were maxed out at "shit".

I don't recall any bleeps or f bombs off the top of my head. What scenes are you talking about?
