They kinda did to Taskmaster what was done to Deadpool in Wolverine Origins. I realize Taskmaster is kind of a c/d tier character but that's my biggest disappointment with the film. What a fucking waste.
Tons of small issues with this film that just add up to a big meh from me. Black Widow is just not that interesting of a "Superhero" in the first place, why even replace her? There are plenty of super powered Avengers to choose from, hell how about Wasp???

This brings up a point. Natasha is the world's best "spy" and her sister is the world's best "assassin" according to the movie. Why would her sister get more film time unless she is a villain. Reformed master assassin doesn't make the most appealing of heroes.

I was waiting for the bullets to hit something critical but the plot armour saved it. I thought overall that was one of the most entertaining sequences in the movie though. I pre-emptively laughed when BW landed on the ground in the pose because I could hear the scoffing from Yelena before the camera even cut to her.

This is pretty interesting, they get everything from streaming, and share the rest about 35-50% depending on regions so they may have made just as much from streaming than theatres. I‘m curious to see what the future holds.

Movie was decent. Not awful. Definitely got some cheese once they went up. Little too CGI and splosion-ee. Would've loved Red Guardian redeeming himself instead of getting his ass kicked, but maybe they'll reuse Taskmaster later. The banter in this was actually really good and Pugh and Harbour were fucking great dialogue wise.
I'd hope Taskmaster is part of the Deadpool MCU introduction. Could you fucking imagine the dialogue he'd have once Deadpool sees Taskmaster maskless. Let's just say there could be a LOT of chemistry. I always thought TM was a cool character, but I'm guessing it'll just be used as a training instructor for Thunder Bolts or Hydra Squad or whatever the fuck.
I'd give it a 7ish out of 10. Better than Black Panther and Captain Marvel probably. Both those movies were completely forgettable outside secondary characters for me though. I didn't hate Captain Marvel as much as everyone else, but the writing was weak sauce for that shit because she was literally never challenged in any way.

The all female casting definitely didn’t help despite their effort to justify it through the Widow mill. Especially since every time you saw them as a group it might as well have been the cover for the diversity special edition of Teen Vogue. Just feels fake, forced, and tiresome.
