That only makes sense if your "vulnerable" characters actually end up getting hurt or theyre a hindrance in some way. Instead Hawkeye not being a superbeing had no impact in Avengers other than his little quip about just being a normal man in the middle of a bunch of gods fighting each other. It was a joke, not a serious story element.

They could have gone somewhere with this but instead they chose to keep the same carbon copy character in the universe. Such fantastic writing, her death means so much in End Game.

Watched this last night in theatres, way too much action. Pacing was off (Like 45 mins action, then 40 minutes of exposition and dialogue) and Natasha and the Widows were way too impervious to damage for being not super soliders. I get it, TV/Movie characters usually can take hits but the amount of damage she basically shrugged off for a normal human with some good training seemed ridiculous.

Also found most of the comedy not good, I think it was the awful russian accents everyone had. Overall prob my least fav marvel move.

Man, RLM really nailed it on this one. Pretty much all the dialogue stuff was good, but the movie fell apart with the action stuff.

The whole movie feels like an after thought.

I especially liked that this is kind of a crappier version of The Naked Gun.

Loki under estimated hawkeye in avengers and he fucked himself over in that scene. Loki catching the arrow thinking hes a SA jogger then getting blown up was great

For an all female power kinda movie, directed by female.. There was a ton of ass shots. I felt, constantly. I think there was only one moment where it cut short of an ass shot, and it was when sjo was in her trailer, it was an awkward lower back shot which made me believe it was just an unflattering shot because the editing was kinda janky; like picture in picture cropped.

It's not that i'm complaining, but the "half body" shots were a bit beyond what a usual half body shot is.. like knee and up.. but maybe its my male gaze and all I see is ass.. specifically pugh and sjo; no one else really got as many ass shots.

one odd thing i thought about: Black Widows sacrifice in End Game is a bit weirder now that we know she has a sister she is sorta close to (maybe?) and a semi-mom and dad. Plus a real mom and dad that never is quite resolved, there is no real reason to believe Harvey Weinstein when he says he had her killed.

She spends 0 seconds in Infinity War and End Game just talking to Yelena or any of them, or asking her team to make sure they are ok, or mourning if any got snapped (at least 1 had to). Obviously we know the "why", none of those characters existed when those movies were being made, but its one of those "so why the fuck didn't Vader recognize C3P0..." kinda things I guess.

Went yesterday to see this, overall forgetable but not terrible. 6/10 is ok.
I liked that it was a standalone movie, with a story from a to z.
My main reproach would be the big vilain was pretty pointless. He has all this control, for what ? No ideology or whatsoever.
Red Guardian was underused and deserved a glorious ending. I don't know if the character was made pathetic because of SJW or because it's an american movie talking about a soviet hero ! loved the karl marx tattoo on the knuckles.
Taskmaster was anoying more than anything.

i cant decide if this movie was more "ok" or more "hot garbage". it had a lot of fucking boring scenes, it had a lot of action scenes which were also kind of boring because prequel and also nonsensical. no stakes at all. Red Guardian was the only redeeming parts. Whomever taskmaster was it was pretty weak. the end scenes with the falling red room was fucking stupid.



RIP Rachel Weiz's hotness.

Good comparison is Catherine Zeta Jones since they are the same age.

Pretty obvious Weisz is the looker of the bunch. Zeta Jones couldn't star in anything in my opinion in her current condition, she's fully aged out.

Weisz is on more of a Marisa Tomei path. It's hot for her age.
