He was already 49 when first cast in the role and has no action experience or anything in his background that would suggest he would do well in an action role. Any action scenes with him as Blade will probably look about like Liam Neeson's scenes in the Taken movies.

that could be the case, Kevin Feige could also be the issue. suits keep meddling in these movies/TV shows and Feige could be getting orders from higher up the food chain to do this and do that, then later they change their minds and its something else. meanwhile the director is going in the first direction and then have to scrap everything to do something else while still keeping to the set deadline. thats a huge amount of stress. there is also no guarantee they won't change their minds again. i would walk the fuck off instead of putting my name to this trainwreck. when this bombs the director will take all the blame. Feige and the suits never suffer any consequences for their actions. Nia Dacosta got completely thrown under the bus for The Marvels. Dacosta more than likely deserved the blame she got, but she wasnt the only one behind this movie. Feige monitors all these MCU films and has final say over what goes out. even if he gave Dacosta free reign to do what she wanted. the responsibility still lies with him for the shoddy product. meanwhile, he's still putting out trash with nobody to tell him "no, stop. what the fuck are you doing??!!!"
