i have to imagine he's renegotiated that contract by now. unless he's locked himself into some indefinite timeline deal where they can keep him hanging for 5 years to shoot a film that has to be reshot every time they get a new director/script. the movie is already destined to be a flop. these development hell projects usually are.

I mean a clause to get out (with a smaller penalty) or renegotiate it after a certain amount of time, if they so choose to take it. Would the public even hear about an expire/renewal cycle, if that was standard in Hollywood contracts?
The Rock is a bit of a retard, who was probably high on his own farts with thinking Black Adam was going to be some great IP that was going to make him a billionaire. So Black Adam seemed like it was his baby and more of him getting the studio locked down to make it, not the studio locking him into a contract for it.

The problem with Black Adam was that it wasn't a Black Adam movie. It was a movie that just happened to have Black Adam in it. As a side not, I don't understand the hate some people have for The Rock. The dude literally works his ass off. That's the very definition of deserving what you've got.

He's not the best actor, his nice guy routine oozes of insincerity, and he also threw in with the progressives not long ago.
I actually like the guy and I think his nice guy routine IS actually sincere, but it's not hard for me to see why a bunch of people eyeroll him.

who knows if its fake or true but a few reports recently that he is always late hours to set and is a douchebag to work with
the funny thing is nobody gave a shit when his movies were making hundreds of millions and nobody talked about it. but now all his movies are bombing so everyone is rushing to "spill the tea"

I can't remember where I saw it but yeah, people criticize him for that shit. He's been known as amazing person for decades but he gets asked during an interview if he endorses Biden and he basically says no without saying no. Suddenly he's a piece of shit and horrible to work with.

growing up had a picture of david lee roth on my wall with the quote "once you can fake sincerity the rest is easy" printed on it. (no idea who said it first, but that is what i had).
fake sincerity is what i think about anytime see the rock. he seems like the type that would be your best friend for as long as it helps him, but slightest bit of trouble he would ghost.
that said, still seen most all his movies.

That could explain why Blade kept on shifting storylines and time periods. The version that was aiming to shoot last year was set in the 1920s, according to sources, and featured Mia Goth as a vampire villain named Lilith who wanted the blood of Blade’s daughter. (Goth remains attached to star in the project.) For another iteration, under Tariq, Marvel built a massive train set, but it was never used. (It may be passed on to a different Disney production.) The new take on Blade is said to be present day.

thats funny, JK Rowling wanted her Hogwarts Theme park to be at Disneyworld, but she wanted a full size train with tracks to go with it. Disney had no room for it if it was going to be a “part” of an existing park, and it has its own train that goes around magic kingdom
Universal had no existing train, nor any interconnect between their 2 parks- so they said, why not! You have to have tickets to both parks to ride the hogwarts express lol if you just have a normal ticket for 1 park you can’t ride it as it takes you into the other park etc

What he gets criticized for is claiming he eats something like 8000 calories a day and has never touched any kind of PEDs. Or shit like making three different videos claiming each time was the first time he'd ever been to in n out, which is petty but goes to show what a dishonest con-man he is. The stories about him are not some sudden new thing either.
