This is either a 35+ year old white dude (aka Timothy McVeigh type) or some 20-25 year old Muslim dude. Just seems to planned and significant to be one of these crazy fucks that shoots up theaters or schools. I put the significant in because of the event...sure all those crazy fucks planned but for most of us it happened on Wednesday, Tuesday...whatever...not Boston Marathon day..

Overall, there's been randomness. The school shootings are random and play into the public perception of these events. The frequency thing, its a good question, they might be over reported but again perceptions dictate reality in the public realm and people are starting to feel like they could encounter some sort of violent event in any populated area more than ever.
No new bombs going off, no announcement of intent/agenda, no serious announcement of people captured since it has happen leaves me scratching my head a bit.

The closest event I could remember to the current one was the 1996 bombing at the olympic games in atlanta, I never heard what happened there and apparently it took them 7 years to get the guy.
After more than five years on the run, Rudolph was arrested on May 31, 2003, in Murphy, North Carolina. On April 8, 2005, the government announced Rudolph would plead guilty to all four bombings, including the Centennial Olympic Park attack.
Rudolph is serving four life terms without the possibility of parole at ADX Florence supermax prison in Florence, Colorado.
Rudolph's justification for the bombings according to his April 13, 2005 statement, was political:[8]
"In the summer of 1996, the world converged upon Atlanta for the Olympic Games. Under the protection and auspices of the regime in Washington millions of people came to celebrate the ideals of global socialism. Multinational corporations spent billions of dollars, and Washington organized an army of security to protect these best of all games. Even though the conception and purpose of the so-called Olympic movement is to promote the values of global socialism, as perfectly expressed in the song Imagine by John Lennon, which was the theme of the 1996 Games even though the purpose of the Olympics is to promote these ideals, the purpose of the attack on July 27 was to confound, anger and embarrass the Washington government in the eyes of the world for its abominable sanctioning of abortion on demand.The plan was to force the cancellation of the Games, or at least create a state of insecurity to empty the streets around the venues and thereby eat into the vast amounts of money invested."
