Still nothing official.
So here's the fun part. Floyd is going to get his giant fucking ring that no one under HW should ever be allowed to fight in, as always. So the fight is going to be the faster Floyd keeping distance and if Manny gets close it's clinch time until the ref breaks it up. Lather, rinse, repeat for 12 rounds. UD Mayweather.
I can't get myself excited about this fight now, at all. Modern Mayweather is fucking boring to watch. I think the JMM fight might be his last one that was actually exciting, and he was fighting a smaller guy and able to kind of bully him. I guess the Maidana fight wasn't bad, but not because of Floyd. He tried his usual, Maidana's wild brawler shit just kind of forced it to be a bit more entertaining.
Still, I'm sure I'll get together with some friends and order it anyways.

Manny has always been a pressure fighter. Big ring doesn't concern me. Manny is one of the best at closing distance with his foot work. He ability to punch on angles is also why he's been so successful. Floyd gonna get hit in this one.

Generally agree with this. Pretty sure Floyd wins by decision but he'll definitely get hit square a few times which is pretty unusual for him.

There's absolutely no way Welterweights and shit should be fighting in the 26' ring. But Floyd gets to dictate that and commissions and opponents just have to accept it if they want the payday that comes along with him. It's total bullshit.
I always thought Mayweather would win as well, I just hate the way he wins most of his fights now. Giant ring so he can run around, and clinch any time the opponent engages. Refs won't ever stop him. He's dictating how the fights are going to go from an official standpoint before they ever step in the ring.

I pay plenty of attention, It's not an issue. Not sure what else to say really, Manny is an awkward southpaw that pressures fighters, has great footwork and an amazing ability to throw punches from crazy angles and still have power on them. Floyd can be on his bike all night, it might cost him in the end De la Hoya-Trinidad style. It really depends on what the judges are looking for.. But let's not pretend manny hasn't fought a shit load of guys who'd rather run than fight over the years. It's nothing new.

Let's also not pretend any of those guys wereFloyd Mayweatheror were able to dictate the ring size or had refs that wouldn't dare warn them for clinching non-stop.
It's not the be all end all of the fight or anything, but pretending it's not an issue that will tilt the fight in Floyd's favor before it even starts is silly.

It's really not, but hopefully we will find out. All that is really happening is Floyd is flexing his A-side muscle. It was done to him by Oscar and now he's doing to it manny. Floyd does shit like this every fight ..from gloves to ring size. It's part of it. Manny does similar things to fighters, like catchweights. It's boxing and this shit goes on all the time. Floyd just being Floyd
He might be fighting Floyd but let's not discredit who manny is as a fighter and the experience that comes with it. It's always been the defensive minded, counter punching boxer vrs the offensive pressure fighter. That hasn't changed and the ring size can always be overcome with proper foot work. Manny and Freddy know this and can just as well use it to their advantage if they get ahead early.
Oh and btw. Floyd has always fought in a big ring, the first Maidana fight was 26ft. He got hit plenty by a slow, flat footed fighter.
