It's also notable that you can use gems to continue. This is the internet, so there's bound to be a multitude claiming a quick, easy victory that used gems to continue.

Not gonna post play-by-play or anything, but I'm using 2 squads....my first squad is my "leftovers" after putting together the strongest possible squad to back them up.
So far, 3 of the 6 in my first squad are dead....BUT Lugina is dead also.....just Seria and Dilma left to deal with from the first half of the Trial.....and supposedly the first half is the harder half. If that is true, I might just be able to pull something out here.
Tridon definitely an MVP here. In my first Squad, Kikuri, Edea and Oguro (was my lead in first squad) are all dead......Aaron, Tridon and Selena are standing and putting up a fight.
1 Fujin used....... 4 Fujins, 3 Revives and a Hero Crystal still remains, but I won't touch those until my Second Squad gets in. I'm predicting BC/BB fill problems on my second squad though, so I gotta make this shit count.
Chipping away at it with 3 characters is gonna take a while if they don't get to dying anytime soon heh.......doh, Aaron has no mitigation up, Tridon no sheild, this might be the turn my first squad gets axed.

Ok, my second squad is a goddamn disaster. I won't be beating it this time.
Tried to use a UBB in my second squad and my BB/BC production is so low that I couldn't even fill the personal UBB bar before it expired after activating it.
This shit is definitely beatable though.

It didn't subtract the consumables I used from my inventory. Went to craft what I'd used and I was already stocked to the numbers I'd been filling to.
Not a big deal, but odd.
Also as a side note, if this was gemable, I didn't notice that dialog box or anything.....I wasn't looking for it, but pretty sure it wasn't there.

"The Cobalt Impact"
Pretty sure you have to beat Alfa Dilith to access it. Rewards the 3rd available +15% sphere that stacks with other +stat spheres.
Without actually having beaten it yet, but having tried it, I reccomend a Tridon friend/lead and quality +BB/BC fill somewhere.

I opened and then closed that link you posted that provides tips for racking up points. I bookmarked it but haven't looked at it yet - it's pretty clear to me that I'm gonna auto it. Fuck actually paying attention to that shit 500-700 times. My auto team gets me 1600-1700 points a run, which is close enough to the ideal 2k you were talking about.

Was close to level and had enough energy for 2 tries, so went for Afla Dilith. I love going into these blind, but she was oneshotting me sometimes and at 50% she literally 1tko'd my entire team. Looked it up and apparently I wasn't supposed to kill her shithead partner yet.
Looked up the oneshot move she used every now and then, noted its cause and noted the stats of my team. Still had to use all 3 revives because she was targeting shit that confused me, but anyway, she's down. Pretty fun, by trial standards. Wish I'd done it when it was current, though - couldn't help but feel a Bestie friend trivialized it. Deimos was kind of a dick in this trial tbh. If I accidentally triggered his taunt at the wrong time, he'd eat the otko unguarded.

Cobalt trial is supposed to be easier than Xie'Jing. (and I believe it)
I've tried Cobalt again, but Karl + Grahdens Phase 2 kicks my ass. I don't understand how folks are beating this so damn easy (so they say). I have 20k HP characters mitigated and shielded getting 1-shotted by non-ultimates.
I have no doubt that Tridon helps immensely, but I think some folks got extremely lucky on the RNG also.
I'm going with more of a defensive slow-burn sorta attempt, which leaves a whole lot more turns for shit to go wrong, but I don't know how to go with less and survive.

I'd disagree on the leader front - the drop checks on stuff these days is so huge that BC mods are almost useless. I switched from Kikkuri lead to Ultor lead and actually get more BC drops because stuff dies faster.
Every arena squad should have selena and ultor if you can, the idol buff is just too good.
Of course it doesn't really matter, I had a 1000+ win streak with selena lead and random shit, including zelnite. Only reason I lost was because 3/5 of my team started paralyzed. I'd say the difference between a 'good' arena team and the 'best' arena team is probably one loss in 500 or more.

The first screenshot was my winning Squad (and what they looked like roughly 6 turns or so before I finally won. You'll see what I mean about a heart attack lol) That was after an Ultimate when I was both Mitigated AND Guarded....after that final ultimate the rest was just putting them in the ground. (Although, I don't believe I actually took any breaths between that ultimate and finally finishing the fight
)
Needless to say, I was building with defense in mind....putting it mildly.
