Brave Frontier

Griffs batch is coming soon, you'll want to save gems for when that batch gets an actual rate up. It is solid from top to bottom. I tried my luck on the frontier hunter gate yesterday, got a breaker zenia on my only pull. Feel like I'm set for awhile.

Fh is back, terminus has 3 single target fights (thanks assholes). Don't have a team to mid farm so probably not going to hit +4 ranks this season.

Cosmic dust sphere from the end is awesome so that's a plus.

Yea, I was never good enough for Middle (Got more frontier points in End than middle earlier)...I saw those single target fights though, ugh......I woke up in the middle of the night and ran my 3 orbs up to End, but haven't tried Terminus yet....my orbs should still be regenerating anyway, but gonna do Terminus later. Really not looking forward to grinding through a buncha single target fights either though.

Gonna compare my output at End vs Terminus and see how different it is. I heard after "Middle" is nerfed down to 2% from 5% that "End" becomes the next hot point-farming spot anyhow....will probably burn a couple extra orbs later in the name of science to investigate for myself.

Regardless of what they are saying about their readiness to implement the God Gate - clearly thecodefor concurrently running additional rare summons gates went live.

They are practically flaunting their new gate-toys. A seperate "water only" gate for a while....a gate with only 15 hand-picked units....a gate with an unusual gem cost (6)....gates with their own rate-ups and times.


Hopefully they have just been working out the kinks ahead of actually releasing the God Gate (as in very soon). There will be salt if the next two to three months are just Gumi trying to market us to death with multiple rare summons gates yet withholding their own God Gate until an Anniversary Event in November or somesuchshit.

Looks like the first half of griffs batch is going up at normal gate today (ahead of Michele's batch). Gumi really hates releasing legacy units on time.

I'm glad Krantz wasn't a part of the first half. Will make it easier to wait.

I don't expect I'll drop more than 2-3 summons outside a rate-up though, even then.....just enough to hope for some luck but not so much I'll be miserable about my wasted gems heh.

I wouldn't bother. Two people in the reddit thread did a combined 200 summons and only ended up with a total of 2 units from this half of the batch. Global rates have been really terrible since 7*s came out in March. I'm guessing it's burning out a lot of users.

Did two because I'm stupid and don't care and still retired so who cares. (Getting FH prizes though). Got two breaker Rignesses, making for a grand total of three Rignesses and three breaker Rignesses.

Every time I summon I am confronted with statistical aberration.

Tried my hand at the Frontier "group of 15" summons gate....while I didn't get any of the units I was specifically summoning for (Medina, Shida and Kira, which I'd love to have and never gotten), I still had some pretty good luck.

First Summons (yesterday) was an Anima Lava (didn't have a Lava, so was pretty excited about this even though my Zenia already renders him pretty much obsolete.) ...followed that up with an Oracle Ruby earlier today - was meh on Oracle typing but FINALLY got a goddamn Ruby and a HP handicap from bad typing doesn't bother Ruby as much in Frontier Hunter and such places where I'd use her anyway. I wasn't going to summon anymore, but eventually decided to roll the dice for a 3rd time. Got a Breaker Ruby (WOO!) lol, nice way to sooth the sting of getting an Oracle, is to get a nice Breaker-whoopass-on-a-stick typing right after.

It wasn't until after that that I remembered that I hadn't yet collected those 5 gems from the level 100-150 achievement store level up rewards. I grabbed those 5 and went back and pulled a Breaker Nemethgear (rawr!)....I'm still trying to wrap my head around Nemethgear's place in the meta. From what little I've seen of him, it looks like Breaker Typing is probably pretty goddamn good typing for Nemethgear. I've never been too fond of Infinite AoE SBB's....with his extra-skill though, and a nice sphere, (and Breaker!) his ATK will start getting pretty damn nice - could be capable of some really sweet damage, and be a decent alternative to single target infinite SBB's to sustain damage vs Low BC fights. We'll see - I chose to be optimistic about how much value Nemethgear will give me.

I'm just glad as hell not to have flushed my gems for no reason this time heh. Feels good to get some new units again and not an endless sea of dupes.

Adding Lava, Ruby and Nemethgear from that group of 15 to the ones I already have on my roster from that list makes summoning for Medina, Shida and Kira a little too high risk for me now, so gonna save what gems I have left even though that gate treated me pretty well after 4 summons.

Highlight of nemethgear is his ubb. Insane damage, and even better with the ubb stacking update.

Hard to argue with video evidence Mono-Light team vs dark unit with Kira as Friend Leader to boot, still pretty damned impressive though vs Xie'Jing who was/is a freakin' migraine headache.

Any idea how it compares to Zenias UBB potential?


I've been trying to pick apart Zenias UBB damage potential given the following two circumstances: The Group using Brave Bursts (buffed for 2 turns) vs Single Target normal attacks (buffed for 3 turns). The UBB changes complicate the math a bit....before then (and maybe still?) going with Single Target attacks could be pretty goddamn devastating.

It is looking like outside using his UBB, Nemethgear might be kind of a crap unit I was hoping stacking ATK from spheres + 80% more from Extra Skill etc would carry him a bit further than it seems to, but an almost utter lack of utility hurts the hell out of him (another reason infinite AE units underwhelm, spend their available skills doing generally useless shit lilke filling up only their own AoE brave burst bar )

If you need empirical evidence attesting to Zenia's UBB damage output head to floor 30 of FG, buff up, pop that shit, and behold the cratered remnant of a prior headache.

Terminus squad: feeva (lead), lario, shida, ahvel,shera, zenia (friend)
Stage 1: fujin shida, feeva, lario, shera. Sbb all regular attack zenia ahvel. Sbb all turn 2.
Stage 2-5: sbb all but zenia turn 1. Regular attack with zenia. Turn 2 sbb zenia, then sbb all. (Bb shida on turn 2)
Stage 6: sbb all but zenia turn 1. Overdrive zenia and guard (so you don't trigger seria or Karl's mitigation). Turn 2 ubb zenia, sbb the rest.
Stage 7: sbb all turn 1, sbb zenia last. Sbb all turn 2.

1.9- 2 million points.

You're losing a good amount of hits, but the concept should be the same, by sure how much lower your score will be. I've done the best using a zenia friend. A second lario would be an improvement over griel but that depends on what status inflictions are in the fh.

I use my ghetto team for 1.8-1.9m and usually get +4. Griel (Leader) Sola, Madia, Lario, Shera, Feeva/Ruby (Friend). I normal attack Griel until the 3rd turn.

So many different gates! I think I will still hold off. Still want to see what the SBS will be like.

Ok so I am afraid to look in my box because I thought I did a SHS but did the stupid ass 4gem summon. ...Diana I am acutally pretty pissed now.

And to top it off not paying attention again used a gem to refresh raid orbs.

Aurelia and hadron 7* tomorrow. Rest of rc5 which means owen is out as well. Hold on to your butts!
