First time in a while that an episode has just felt outright sloppy. Walt knowing him and Jesse are in a battle of cat & mouse and to just react so all of a sudden felt out of character to an extent. Him confessing to that shit on the phone felt sloppy, that gunfight felt incredibly sloppy. Much more forgiving as a mid series episode but for now it was glaring. I hope it finds it's momentum again, which could be hard considering how badass everything was starting part 2 of this season.

If they're going to kill Hank, they should've done it immediately in that scene. It would've been like whoa holy shit and also would've made those nazis a lot more credible

yep, they should have died outright or the episode should have ended with the first shot being fired.

while there's no excuse for that last scene, it does look like its closer to perhaps 70-90 yards based on a rewatch of the end, dunno if that makes it more likely they shoot like stormtroopers or not. gomie just standing out of cover with a goddamn shotgun was retarded though. you know hes a dead fucker, the only question now is does hank get away with jessie, with walt and jessie (using walt as cover), or does jessie just drive off by himself. I'm guessing Gomie and Hank die, the nazis take Jessie and Walt and tell them to cook for them or their loved ones die (the nazis know about Brock now). Feels too much like a rehash of earlier stuff though.

I hope the next episode has something none of us have anticipated, because so far this is just going in a shitty direction.

A lot of that scene's setup was just to show that Walt isn't a total monster like some suspected, even if it was following putting a hit out on Jesse

While being upset at the shooting scene, which is an insult to any evolved mammal, anyone screamed when the Nazis showed up like 15 minutes after Wall bat-signal'd them ? I also was grinding my teeth during Huell scene : the fake picture, the forced confession were bullshit at its finest, legally and cohenrenly. And the retarded "I-got-your-confession-on-phone-now-let's-search-for-your-seven-full-of-money-plastic-barrels-evidence-in the-middle-of-the-fucking-desert" trick didn't make any sense at all.

I'm quite disappointed, I wanted to watch another awesome Breaking Bad episode and all I got was The Walking Dead minus the awful acting. I feel cheated.

I have to agree with the consensus on that gunfight being one of the worst things that's been on Breaking Bad. They also did the "guns have infinite ammo" thing to an extreme. I counted and Hank fired 9 times on just one of the 7 times he popped up from behind the blazer. Those full autos, even if we are to believe that people who know what they are doing would use full auto in that situation, should have all been out of bullets in about 3 seconds but they somehow blaze away for a solid minute and put holes on every square inch of the car without hitting anyone. 6 guys with rifles vs 2 people standing in the open with a handgun and a shotgun should have been over in less than 2 seconds, especially since the guys with rifles were aiming and even had a fucking rest.

If they wanted to leave a cliffhanger, they should have just gone to black when the first shot was fired as others have said. I think after that phone call to Marie, Hank and Gommie are dead and Jesse will be held hostage, possibly along with Walt.

Everyone should have died in that gunfight. Then we could have just had the the last 4 episodes be Walt Jr and Skylar running the carwash. The Breaking Bad writers lost a real opportunity here.

Yeah this is Saul's go to bodyguard and it took him all of 2 minutes to crack, then later the Walt phone call, followed by that gun fight. It was just too much for me

They needed to set things up for next week when Walt Jr pulls up, slowly gets out of the car with twin pistols, raises them and says "Have an A-1 D-d-d-day" before wasting single person there.

I guess Jesse was shot while lying flat on his back and without making an entrance wound. That Heisenberg is amazing.

We don't really know how much time passed while he was out there with the money, also the nazis live out in the desert too so who's to say how long it would have taken them to get there.

Anyway, the episode was great until the gun "fight", wtf was that? -sigh-

The Walt phone call is actually plausible if you look at Walt in the way that Bryan Cranston described in the Talking Bad discussion after the show. Part of Walt's evolution as a character was to change from a methodical, analytical person into someone driven more and more by emotions and hence more reactionary. He's still not accustomed to being propelled forward on emotion and as a result he has a tendency to make very bad decisions off the cuff when it happens (like when he killed Mike).

The thing is, even if Walt does end up going to court...they don't have a shred of legally obtained evidence to use against him anyway, the whole thing will get thrown out of court. Hank should know that as would Gomie so I see very little point in what they are doing.

I had more issue with how quickly Hank showed, than I did with how quick the Nazis did.

You actually think they are going to end this show with him under custody of the law and in court? That would be the most boring anticlimatic way to end it.

That's not his point. Hank's entire motivation is make sure Walt goes to jail. All he's really doing is ensuring Walt gets a mistrial.

Yeah that shooting scene at the end ruined the fucking episode.

Other then that it was awesome.
