Men tend pick careers based on dollars. Women less so. We've got the entirety of human history where a male's chances to pass on genes are tied to his value/usefulness. Some of that is genetic and some of it is social.

even If one were to fully accepted your premise it seems flawed, that there are only "small biological differences" why does that automatically preclude that small biological differences can't produce large social differences?

I find the arguments made by evolutionary psychology far more convincing than that pile of bullshit. On top of that are you aware how badly you really throwing all of the transgender people under the bus with that?
Let's talk briefly about David Reimer for a moment. At 7 months his penis was destroyed during a botched circumcision and his parents took him to Dr. John Money, a gender neutrality proponent. Gender is a result of social learning from early childhood and can be changed.
NOPE.
No amount of hormones or therapy could convince this poor kid he was female. At thirteen he was depressed to the point of suicide when his parents finally told him what was up. Dr. Money had spent the whole time reporting the transition was a success. He would then kill himself later in life.

How could anyone find the evolutionary psychology arguments less convincing? I mean, the "socially constructed" hypothesis, as far as I can tell, is pretty much untestable. I don't understand how people place so much certainty in it. It seems like yet another magic wand to be used alongside the "rape culture" and "patriarchy" wands. Just wave the wand and you can explain anything away instantly.

The silly text aside this is a picture of a peacock and a peahen.
Males are selected based on their plumage and even subtle differences can be the difference between a successful mating season and no dice. Peacocks don't only pass on their genes to male eggs/chicks but to females as well. Why are females not similarly colored?

I could spend literally the entire day posting pictures of animals that have males and females that are vastly different in size and coloration. Here are some red wing blackbirds. Guess which one is the male.

Successfully breeding males would still be just as likely to pass on all of those intellectual traits that made them reproductively successful to any female offspring. Fact.
Brains are not peacock feathers. The vast majority of the brain is not sexually dimorphic, the only parts that are significantly so are the old, primitive parts relating specifically to sex. The most recently evolved portions of the brain, the ones that give us all of our fine motor skills and rational, cognitive abilities, are not sexually dimorphic at birth. This is provable by science. Hormone levels do effect some structural changes over time, but hormone levels vary drastically between individuals of the same gender and are influenced by outside forces.
