Newsflash: Look up the Catholic molestation cases. The kids involved are the ones there more often than the other kids doing after school activities and extra church activities. They are spending sometimes longer at church than they do at school. You idiot.

I did not use gendered language, but I was actually talking about male teachers with teenage female students. Those get lumped into the figures of sexual abuse of children, and while they're definitely still sexual abuse and definitely still rape, having actually been a teenage girl, I'm not sure I ever knew any that were entirely innocent when it came to sex.

Of course public school teachers have a lot of sexual misconduct with children, because they have a huge opportunity for such to occur, where a Catholic priest really has to go out of their way to take little kids on a camping trip to Bonetown. I was raised Catholic and went to Catholic school for all of junior high, and can count on one hand the number of times I directly interacted with a priest, where I spent all day, 180 days a year interacting with teachers for 13 years.

I've also worked in a public school for 6 years, and as far as I'm aware, the only cases that don't go to prosecution are mostly of the isolated 'he touched my butt and I felt funny' variety, whereas the Catholic church hid plenty of cases of full on child rape.

The bottom line is you know absolutely nothing about the issue at all. You have done zero research, maybe because you don't have kids so you don't care about the dangers out there. Not in the slightest, show me justifying anything the Catholic church has done. In fact you have Mist justifying all these poor teachers that can't help but molest children since they are around them so much ....

Catholic priests are despicable. Doesn't change the fact that public school teachers are just as bad or worse. Only a SJW like Mist would defend them to the death though.

At 410k you are talking 8200 with that 1 in 50 comment (which wasn't a definitive researched answer but an off the cuff estimate).

According to the National Center for Education Statistics, there were 98,817 public schools during the 2009-2010 school year.

I don't think you realize how many schools are out there all with probably at least 100 faculty at the bare minimum.
