How you gonna fit that in the garage, bro?
It's not, unfortunately! On cold weather days I'll just have to take one of my other two cars that are happy in the garage.

Ass talk right here. Maybe if you go to a east BFE privately owned dealership where your choices to shop are extremely limited. All of the chain dealerships WILL price match any tire shop to include WalMart, Discount, etc. for the tire sales and install to include road hazard that most shops give with the installation. All 120 dealerships of ours do this. Sonic, Penske, AutoNation, Asbury do the same as well. Jesus Christ do some research before you speak out of your ass.

Hey fucknuts I have worked at multiple dealerships for 5.5 years in a couple different regions. Yes, they will price match if needed to keep the business (make the money on the service if not the parts and keep the customer in house for brand loyalty) but that is NOT the first price offered at any of the places I have worked. Please do more research before I say I am talking out of my ass.

As to the other person, 30-40% markup is low for most business. Sales in the car business is 2-15% but pizza is 50-300% depending on where you go and toppings, etc. and people eat that every day but car dealerships are big bad people for trying to make profit. Apple makes more on every Iphone and make 30% cuts just for running the appstore.

Don't get me wrong, I shop around and get good prices for everything I buy. I just don't get mad at people/companies for trying to make a living.

Has anyone driven or owned a 2013 Honda Accord yet? Or a 2012 Honda Crosstour?

I'm looking at buying a new car within the next few days and I'm between those two.. going for test drives tomorrow. I'd just like some background information on what key features and/or problems they might have?

General thoughts?

Also looking at a 2012 Altima, but I've had major problems with my 2002 so not sure.

<-- Sells Hondas.

The 2013 Accord is pretty awesome. It is winning a ton of comparisons right now (USA Today, C+D, Motor Trend, ETC). More importantly, it is the only car out right now which is doing well in the new IIHS offset frontal crash rating. Check out this video.http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=ByPAhoeU6UQ

Huge thing.

As for the Accord vs Crosstour debate, if you go crosstour, get the 2013. The 13 is going to get the new technology updates (backup cam, better bluetooth, better fuel econ, lane departure warning, blind spot cam, etc etc) that the new Accord has.

Feel free to ask more questions, specifics etc.

Thanks for the info, already bought the Accord heh. Picking it up today. Was mad they didn't have it in blue at the dealer, but I got it black/black so it should be good.

Edit: I do have a question! Not related to the accord though.

My g/f has a 2010 Civic she bought a couple years ago. Not sure if it's a DX or an LX (has power everything, but I still think it might be a DX). The guy kept going on and on about hooking up our iPod, but so far all I can see is an AUX input near the 12V supply in there. Any way to find out if that's all there is? I can't see a USB in anywhere, but maybe I'm retarded.

New Accord is getting freaking great reviews. The V6 is damn quick. Its funny when a V6 family sedan starts getting better performance numbers than supercars from the 80's.

Got the 4 cylinder because I have to commute about 110 miles per day, but it still seemed pretty powerful at 185HP. Will be a step down from my '02 Altima 3.5SE with about 250HP. Ate gas though

I'm looking at getting a new car shortly. Considering the optima, accord, altima or possibly a passat. I've test driven an optima and accord so far. Optima was v6, accord a 4 cyl. So far I'm leaning towards the optima, seems to have more features for the price. Anyone have experience with the optima?

I don't think you can buy a "bad" new car today, so it all comes down to personal preference.

The Optima is IMO the best looking non luxury mid size sedan, but it doesn't drive as good as the Accord or Altima. Both the Honda and Nissan just feel more connected to the road.

One new car in that segment you may look out for is the 2013/14 mazda 6. I didn't like the previous gen at all, but the new one is smoking. And supposedly we may see a diesel wagon in the states with close to 300ft lbs of torque which would be a blast to drive.

But right now the V6 accord is my pick, the 4 banger is ok but the V6 is just so much better. Just in pure fun it is worth the trade off in mpg.

Then again, if you could care less how it drives go with the Optima because damn, it's a good looking whip for 25k

My three most recent cars have been BMW's, and the most recent, a 2011 Z4 will be my last. I feel their build quality is totally overrated considering the price. My Z4 is freaking gorgeous and handles like a dream, but just like my previous BMW's rattles and creaks like a tin can. The amount of cheap hard plastic they use is simply mind blowing considering the cost. Then throw in the fact that all BMW's now come with atrocious run flat tires that cost $400 a piece, can't be patched if you get a nail, and only last 20,000 miles, and you've got yourself a creaky, expensive headache with a loud ride. Blew a tire in buttfuck Ft-Smith Arkansas and was stuck there two days because they had to ship a tire from Fayetville, as discount tire didn't carry run flats.

To be honest, they might not look as nice, but the higher end Jap cars like Lexus and Infiniti ride completely silent and don't use any cheap hard plastic. I prefer driving my girlfriend's IS350 over my Z4..

Trollicious! Lemme axe you a question (or anyone else with insight) since you work at dealerships.

We are limping along with two old cars that we will finally be replacing within the next year. We are considering just dropping one huge financial nuke on ourselves and buying two new cars at the same time. Would we get the cars cheaper if we bought both of them from the same dealership? Like, would we be able to get a better deal if we strolled into a Honda dealer and wanted to buy two Accords at once? Does this ever happen? Just wondering.

Taking into acct that car sales are doing pretty good right now, I doubt you will get the kind of deal you are hoping for. You will no doubt get something, but I doubt it's more than a few percent.

Unless you have a particular new model in mind, find a 2010-12 model something with 10k miles at 60% of the new price.

Yes but not substantially at least in most markets. I work in Charlotte NC so if you are ever out here I could help. Best bet is to get internet quotes for whatever vehicle you want, test drive at your local dealership and get the one you want. If you want 2 Accords at our shop you would save another 100-200 per car. Our internet quotes are just super aggressive. YMMV obviously based on market and car chosen.

Thanks dude, solves that.

I got the Accord yesterday. What a wonderful car. The LX is on the lower end, but it really feels like a Luxury car on the inside. The whole in dash display, lots of buttons to play with, bluetooth, ipod hookup, steering wheel controls. I love it. It's the roomiest car I have ever driven in as well, I couldn't believe it. Drives like a dream and I adjusted to the CVT nearly instantly. MAJOR step up from my 2002 Altima 3.5SE. I will miss the V6 and the 250HP, but I will enjoy saving money in between fill ups, and at 185HP it does feel like a powerful 4 cylinder for sure. 2 Thumbs up from me.

Does anyone have a Mini? I'm looking for an 07+ Hardtop S model. I drive about 200 miles a day and want something fun to drive that still gets good mpg. I've done my homework and haven't found any glaring issues, maintenance is a bit higher than some but they sound fairly easy to wrench on.

Anyone have any first hand experience?

Mini's in my opinion are cars designed almost purely by a artist with almost zero input from an engineer. I think they are cool looking cars from the outside and somewhat fun to drive, but they frustrate they hell out of me in the ergonomics department, it like everything inside was purposely put in the wrong place.

Minis interior is my largest gripe, it looks like the pt cruiser and I get mad every time I have to drive one because its so hideous. I also hate how the rear ends look on the convertibles plus they are noisy as hell but that's expected I guess.

Outside of all that, they are rather nice to drive especially for city driving.
