it's fair to forget CM came out a few months before End Game, it had almost no impact on the marvel arc. Thor 2 was good comic book story, but doesn't compare to the rest of the movies from a movie quality perspective. it's fair to put pretty everything after end game in a new scoring tier because how much the quality of the story and direction dropped. If Thor 2 game out closer to Infinity War, it would probably be much better.

This hasn't been true for years. Marvels... significantly worse. Madame Web...holy fuck Thor 2 is a masterpiece film compared to this shit. Thor 2 is on a completely different level of master cinema compared to Thor 4. Put it this way... If it was released after End Game. Thor 2 is infinitely better, with only 2 exceptions. Deadpool and Spidey.

Thor 2 is a masterpiece compared to every MCU film that has come out post endgame. Widow is such a horrible film. Chang chee is even more horrible. Dr Strange2 and Antman3 are much worse than those. It just keeps spiralling downward.

Even pre-Civil War, Thor 2 was better than The Incredible Hulk, Thor 1, Captain America 1, and Iron Man 3.
It was significantly behind Iron Man 1, Avengers 1, and The Winter Soldier, but most movies pale in comparison to those.

I think most comic fans in general would agree that Iron Man was damn near the perfect hero movie.

Even though I was never an Ironman fan. 100% because the aesthetics of the suit were terrible. So I never read them. The MCU movie definitely made me a fan. I just couldn't get past this in the comics...

I didn't even think that Madame Web shit was considered a Marvel Universe movie, definitely didn't go see it, either, though, as it was basically just labeled absolute shit tier anywhere you go for reviews. Noted hadn't seen Thor 4, so can understand if that was worse. But I can't agree on other stuff Pre Endgame. IM3 wasn't great, but still liked it better. Captain Marvel and BP were both mid, but still better than Thor 2 imo.

Better than Cap 1? Not even close.

I think they are both forgettable episodic movies that don't really stand up on their own but have added value from being in a movie series.

Iron Man 2 and Thor 1 are similar imo.

They thought they could keep doing that without the expensive team up movies, without the expensive actors and with added TV content and diversity hires.

Anything after Endgame is worse than anything before it, other than outliers like Spiderman 3/Deadpool 3 (different studio/universe kinda) and Guardians 3 (delayed).
