Yeah, this was just ok. Nothing about it was really offensive. My favorite part is easily the end Red Hulk fight/sequence.Saw it today with the family and some friends, it was alright. It's not the best Cap movie (I have a soft spot for 1 but I can recognize Winter Soldier as superior by far and it remains the best Cap movie) but it was okay. I'm really not a fan of Mackie's acting and attitude in the MCU even outside of his political bullshit in interviews, but the film was fine. It gives a feeling that the MCU is recentering its efforts on established characters (bringing back several characters from Incredible Hulk, stuff from previous Cap films, etc) instead of reaching out into new dumb directions. It wasn't oulandishly woke either, I didn't really feel the racism card was being played (unlike in the TV series where Falcon couldn't even get a loan because black). Action scenes were pretty decent.
For those interested, there's just one post-credits scene and it's at the very end. It's not something major, you don't see any new character introduced or anything, it just mentions stuff that's going to go down in the near future of the MCU.
For those wondering if they can easily skip it and not really miss important story steps for the MCU as a whole, it's totally skippable, the story is rather self-contained.

The fight made me roll my eyes. Not even Steve Rogers could go Toe to Toe with Hulk but Sam covers the blows with his shield and wings and gets his ass repeatedly knocked backwards, legs digging into the ground and his legs aren't snapping into a thousand pieces?
Dude that is some retarded writing. They explain at the very beginning of the movie. His suit has the Black Panther suit power ups, it's vibranium which absorbs energy.
looks like this trash will hit $90-95m this 4 day weekend, but i'd expect the numbers to crash next week. who knows how much money it needs to make a profit or if it even matters, i don't really believe the $180m budget (which would imply a $500-600m worldwide box office to be... in the black)
captain wakanda is powered by nogger tech? They explain at the very beginning of the movie. His suit has the Black Panther suit power ups, it's vibranium which absorbs energy.
Even nogger tech doesn't give him strength to hold his ground. It would say "absorb energy", but he would still get punted like a soccer ball. It's the dumbest shit explanation.captain wakanda is powered by nogger tech?
black panther is powered by a psychedelic plantYes, Sam is the better Captain America, because Steve was given the serum, whereas Sam is just a normal man!
... that was given a suit far superior to nearly all heroes out there, solely due to the color of his skin?
/Reminder that Wakanda is a reverse-racist apartheid state.
It was a good movie in its own way. Lots of WWII mostalgia bait, and Peggy Carter's tits. The only thing Captain America: The Worst Avenger is good for is a sleep aid.
It was not all day Thursday. That was the early screening day, but theaters aren't airing all day long -- there is a big difference between Thursday and Friday for a new release if the official release date is Friday. Any special screenings are also quite limited but they do occur. There's also nothing special about the accounting here -- all movies operate the same way. You're just making shit up if you think the showing count for Mon-Thursday evening compares at all to the actual Friday. You also don't seem to realize the four day weekend isn't talking about Thursday to Sunday, but Friday to Monday since that's a holiday Monday. As usual, your box office knowledge is a hodgepodge of facts and your hallucinations. The 4 day weekend thing is a big fucking lie. it was out for almost an entire week. Nothing comes out on a Friday anymore. It used to be Wednesday nights, all day Thursday and then the weekend. Now they have "special screenings" on Mondays and Tuesdays which also gets pumped in with "the weekend". these people are full of shit.
He never said that, he said they were basing the look on Metropolis.Iron suits didn't exist before metropolis?
I think there's about 1000 years worth of them predating that.

You confirmed what I said, but you deny it. Just dickyboy things. 4 day weekends is not just 4 days. I never said Thursday to Sunday. That came out of your ass. 4 day weekend always includes Monday. But in Hollywood, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday all gets encapsulated in the weekend box office or in this instance, 4 day weekend. So two Mondays can be involved in this 4 day weekendIt was not all day Thursday. And what exactly is your point? The miniscule advance screenings before Thursday amount to hardly any revenue. There's only been a few films in the last few decades where that wasn't the case. You confirmed what I said, but you deny it. Just dickyboy things. 4 day weekends is not just 4 days. The point this entire time is that a 4 day or 3 day weekend is nonsense because it's more than Friday to Sunday/Monday. it's a cumulative of the entire week. The amount is immaterial. It's the fact that more days are involved here. And pre Friday showings make a big difference as it adds to the weekend. If you want to talk about weekend showings, is it too much to expect only weekend showings be counted? It's also stupid to say weekend box office on Sunday morning because there is still Sunday showings. The numbers should be talked about on Monday. And what exactly is your point? It's been like this for all films and has been for decades. You try to act like it's some type of conspiracy or tricky accounting when everybody who knows what's going on completely understands it. So any comparisons are totally fair. In this case, the pre Thursday screening amounts to at best a few hundred thousand. Thursday previews were 12 million. And it should be noted that any trade publications will also call out the difference between the 3-day and the 4-day holiday weekend. Once again you simply aren't familiar with things and think there's something untoward going on when it's all standard practice. You weren't making the same kind of dumb attempt at a gotcha when something like Deadpool 3 or Top Gun were doing the same thing.
